Job summary

TDS Placements and Services Private Limited seeks an experienced Factory Manager to lead the end-to-end setup and operations of a new Greenfield Food Manufacturing Plant in India. You will drive planning, layout, utilities, machinery selection and installation, and coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure a successful launch.

The role requires hands-on leadership across Production, Engineering & Maintenance, Quality, Food Safety, and Supply Chain, with a focus on productivity, cost

Qualifications

• 10–20 years of experience in Food/FMCG manufacturing.
• Qualification in Food Technology, Mechanical, Production, Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
• MBA or Operations qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Greenfield Plant Setup from planning to commercial production.
• Manage plant layout, infrastructure planning, utilities, machinery selection and installation.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, machinery vendors and contractors.
• Lead equipment installation, commissioning, trial runs and production ramp-up.
• Establish manufacturing processes, SOPs and operational systems.
• Oversee plant operations including Production, Engineering & Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Utilities, Warehouse & Supply Chain.
• Drive productivity, cost optimization, waste reduction and operational efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs like production output, OEE, quality, downtime and manpower productivity.
• Develop preventive maintenance and continuous improvement systems.
• Build, train and lead a high-performing plant operations team.
• Manage CAPEX planning, project timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with R&D, Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Finance and Senior Management.

Industry: Food ManufacturingProject: Greenfield Plant SetupWe are looking for an experienced and dynamic Factory Manager / Plant Head to lead the end-to-end setup and operations of a new Greenfield Food Manufacturing Plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Greenfield Plant Setup from planning to commercial production.
• Manage plant layout, infrastructure planning, utilities, machinery selection and installation.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, machinery vendors and contractors.
• Lead equipment installation, commissioning, trial runs and production ramp-up.

Candidate Profile

• Qualification / . in Food Technology, Mechanical, Production, Chemical or related Engineering discipline.
• MBA / Operations qualification will be an added advantage.
• Experience15+ years of experience in Food Manufacturing / FMCG Manufacturing.
• Minimum 5+ years in Plant Head / Factory Head / Senior Manufacturing Leadership role preferred.
• Must have hands-on experience in Greenfield Plant Setup.
