Job summary

The Flower Puff Girlz is seeking an experienced Factory Operations Head (GM - Manufacturing) to lead end-to-end factory operations including production, procurement, planning, R&D, quality, stores, logistics, accounts and HR. Initial 3-4 months will be based in Mumbai for induction, setup, and leadership hiring before scaling operations.

Strong leadership, system-building capability, and hands-on experience in setting up large-scale manufacturing are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing or operations experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role (Plant Head/Operations Head).
• Experience setting up a new factory or large-scale operations systems.
• Strong knowledge of production, supply chain, QC, procurement, HR and finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end factory operations including production, procurement, planning, R&D, quality, stores, logistics, accounts and HR.
• Design, document, and implement SOPs and systems prior to factory go-live.
• Recruit and develop key factory leadership roles.
• Lead all factory teams with department heads reporting directly and set KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, factory regulations, environmental norms and safety standards.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Factory Operations Head (GM - Manufacturing) to lead end-to-end factory operations, including production, procurement, planning, R&D, quality, stores, logistics, accounts, and HR. This role requires strong leadership, system-building capability, and hands-on experience in setting up and scaling manufacturing operations from scratch. For the initial 3-4 months, the role will be based in Mumbai to support induction, factory setup, system creation, and hiring of key leadership roles before transitioning to full-scale factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Setup & Readiness (Initial Phase - First 3-4 Months)

• Work from the Mumbai office to understand products, processes, and organizational workflows
• Coordinate factory construction, infrastructure setup, and machinery installation with contractors and consultants
• Design, document, and implement SOPs and systems for all departments prior to factory go-live
• Finalize factory layout, workflows, manpower planning, safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Lead recruitment of key factory leadership roles (Production, QC, Stores, HR, Accounts, etc.)

End-to-End Factory Operations (Post Go-Live)

Production

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices

Purchase & Procurement

• Manage sourcing of raw materials, packaging, machinery, and consumables
• Negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely supply

Planning & Coordination

• Oversee production planning, demand forecasting, and inventory alignment
• Coordinate with sales, logistics, and production teams

R&D (Research & Development)

• Guide product development, innovation, and process optimization
• Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards

Quality Control & Assurance

• Implement robust QC and QA systems across all stages of production
• Ensure adherence to certifications and industry standards

Stores & Inventory Management

• Oversee raw material, packaging, and finished goods inventory systems
• Implement stock control SOPs and material movement processes

Logistics & Dispatch

• Ensure efficient dispatch, transportation planning, and timely deliveries
• Coordinate warehousing and outbound logistics operations

Accounts & Finance

• Manage factory-level budgeting, cost control, vendor payments, and reporting
• Track production costs, margins, and financial performance

Human Resources

• Oversee hiring, onboarding, training, and statutory compliance
• Build a culture focused on discipline, safety, efficiency, and teamwork

Systems & Process Development

• Create and standardize SOPs, workflows, documentation, and reporting systems
• Build dashboards for monitoring production, quality, procurement, and inventory
• Ensure seamless coordination between factory and head office

Leadership & Governance

• Lead all factory teams with department heads reporting directly
• Set KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive accountability
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, factory regulations, environmental norms, and safety standards

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role such as Plant Head or Operations Head
• Prior experience setting up a new factory or building large-scale operational systems
• Strong knowledge of production, supply chain, QC, procurement, HR, and finance
• Excellent leadership, execution, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build teams, systems, and processes from the ground up
• Willingness to be based in Mumbai for the first 3-4 months during the setup phase
