Job summary

Daimler Truck Innovation Center India (DTICI) is seeking a seasoned engineer to develop mathematical models and simulations for I-HIL testing, focusing on cabin, brake, ADAS, HMI, and powertrain domains.

You will build MATLAB/Simulink models, validate with data, integrate sensors and networks (CAN/LIN/Ethernet, SENT), and work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver robust plant models.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in model development using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for model validation and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of test validation.

Responsibilities

• Ability to understand the system level requirement of domain like Cabin/Brake/ADAS/HMI/powertrain.
• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify requirements and subsequently derive the tasks for feature development in the HIL environment.
• Develop precise mathematical models of physical systems using MATLAB/Simulink by a thorough understanding of the system.
• Analyze system-level requirements to create closed-loop models that simulate communication networks (CAN/LIN/Ethernet), sensors (analog/digital/SENT), network management, power management,CAN gateways,etc.
• Diagnose and resolve issues arising during HIL testing related to plant model simulations.
• Continuously analyze model behavior and performance metrics to identify and address issues promptly.
• Ensure compatibility between hardware components and simulation software of HIL environment.
• Provide training and support to junior engineers and team members on MATLAB/Simulink usage.

This job position to for plant modelling required for I-HIL testing.

Description:

SkillSet:

• 1.Strong expertise in developing models, simulations, and algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• 2.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for model validation and data interpretation.
• 3. Understanding of control theory, system dynamics, and feedback systems.
• 4.Familiarity with HIL testing methodologies and tools, including hardware integration.
• 5. Experience with various types of sensors (analog, digital, SENT) , Communication protocol like CAN , LIN , Ethernet,UDS and their modeling.
• 6. Experience in setting up and configuring simulation environments for HIL testing.
• 8. Good knowledge on Programming language like C , C++ , Python could be beneficial.
• 9. Excellent teamwork and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• 10. Should be familiar with Agile methodology and the JIRA toolchain.
