Daimler Truck AG in Bengaluru seeks an experienced engineer to drive HIL testing and system-level modelling for Powertrain and Brake controls. You will model physical aspects in MATLAB/Simulink and verify in MIL/Hardware-In-Loop setups with ECUs.

You will lead and mentor a team, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure timely test campaigns. The role requires strong knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet/UDS, dSpace tools, and AGILE methods.

Qualifikationen

• BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electronics and Communication or similar is required.
• Hands-on HIL testing experience and strong system-level understanding.
• Ability to model physical aspects of Powertrain & Brake systems for HIL tests.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and UDS protocols.
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink for Plant modelling and validation.
• Familiarity with AGILE and JIRA for project tracking.

Aufgaben

• Understand system-level requirements and prepare plans for HIL upgrades.

• Present test campaign reports to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement improvements in HIL testing within the team.
• Mentor new team members on tools and vehicle features.

Job Description:

• 1. Hands on experience in system level HIL testing environment.
• 2. Strong analytical skill to diagnose and resolve issues observed during testing.
• 3. Capability to understand the system level requirement and ability to identify its implementation methodologies in HIL environment
• 4. Thorough understanding of the Powertrain & Brake control in vehicles and capable of modelling the physical aspects of the Powertrain & Brake system for Hardware -in -Loop test systems
• 5. Analysis of Vehicle Drive scenarios and able to predict the performance on key Powertrain & Brake control systems
• 6. Good understanding of the control algorithms for the Powertrain & Brake and able to verify in Model-in-Loop and Hardware-In-Loop test setup consisting of electronic control units
• 7. Should be skilled in Project planning for test campaign.
• 8. Experience in technically leading the team and mentoring them.
• 9. Excellent verbal and written communication skill along with Stakeholder engagement.
• 10. Should be familiar with Agile methodology and the JIRA toolchain
• 11. Domain expert - Powertrain , Brakes , Cabin , Drive assist is mandatory.
• 12. Familiarity with vehicle testing is a strong plus.
• 13. Strong Knowledge on Communication protocol like CAN , LIN , Ethernet,UDS.
• 14.Good knowledge on dSpace Control desk , dSpace configuration desk , Matlab, Simulink, CANoe , Automation tool , Diagnostic tool , CANape,etc

Responsibilities

• 1. Understand the system level requirement and preparing plan for HIL upgradation/development.
• 2. Frequent co ordination with stakeholder to share the update and support required for feature implementation in HIL .
• 3. Plant Model ownership for the project, ability to create and drive the physical and mathematical modelling of Powertrain & Brake Control in Matlab and Simulink
• 4. Responsible to assign task to internal team for HIL preparation and supporting them technically to complete the task before target.
• 5. Co ordinate with release management / project management team to align testing timeline with project milestone.
• 6. Ensure the HIL setup qualified to meet the expectation for test campaign.
• 7. Review the system level test case and give feedback to the team on improvement if required.
• 8. Prepare the test strategy for test campaign and supervise the execution.
• 9. Review the test result and support the team in troubleshoot of the issues with proper first level analysis.
• 10. Responsible for test management & issue management
• 11. Responsible to present test campaign test report to stakeholders with observation.
• 12. Identify the area of improvement in HIL testing with necessary action plan and its implementation within the team.
• 13. Assist the new team members on testing tools , Vehicle feature, etc.
