Bean Hr Consulting is seeking a Head - Supply Chain Operations to architect a multimodal logistics & warehousing network for a large grocery business. You will oversee 20 DCs and 20 CCs, ensuring seamless fulfillment for 1,000+ stores and a growing Amazon Now partnership.

You will directly manage a freight portfolio of over 100 Crore, drive optimization across primary/secondary freight, and lead a multi-site team with 3PL vendors. Mumbai-based, on-site role with 5-day work week.

Qualificações

• MBA in Supply Chain/Operations or Engineering background.
• Proven track record of managing large freight and distribution networks.
• Experience in Grocery Retail / FMCG / High-volume e-commerce.

About the Role

As the Head - Supply Chain, you will be the chief architect of a multimodal logistics and warehousing network for a 7,000 Cr grocery business. You will oversee the movement of goods through 20 Distribution Centers (DCs) and 20 Collection Centers (CCs), ensuring seamless fulfillment for 1,000+ Physical Stores and a rapidly expanding Amazon Now (500+ stores) partnership. You will directly manage a freight portfolio exceeding 100 Crore, optimizing both primary and secondary distribution.

Principal Responsibilities

• 1. Logistics & Freight Management (Primary & Secondary)

  Network Flow: Manage the complex freight movement between 20 CCs (Inbound/Sourcing) and 20 DCs (Storage/Fulfillment).

  Budget Oversight: Full P&L responsibility for a 100 Crore+ annual freight spend, focusing on freight negotiation, fuel surcharges, and route optimization.

  Primary Freight: Orchestrate bulk movement from vendors/CCs to DCs, ensuring high vehicle utilization and minimal dry runs.

  Secondary Freight: Manage the last-mile delivery to 1,000+ retail stores and 500+ Amazon Now outlets, maintaining 100% On-Time In-Full (OTIF delivery).

• 2. Multi-Channel Fulfillment (B2B & B2C)

  B2B Operations: Support the inventory needs of 1,000+ physical grocery outlets with daily replenishment cycles.

  Platform Integration: Oversee the specialized fulfillment requirements for Amazon Now, ensuring high fill rates and strict adherence to marketplace SLAs across 500+ locations.

• 3. Warehouse & Inventory Excellence

  Throughput: Shipping 20 Lakh units/day across a 20-warehouse footprint (50K 1L sq. ft. each).

  Flow Management: Balancing Flow-Through (Cross-docking) for fresh/high-turnover goods and Non-Flow-Through for staples and long-tail items.

  Inventory Veracity: Maintaining absolute stock accuracy to prevent "ghost inventory" in the omnichannel ecosystem.

• 4. Productivity & Team Leadership

  Workforce Management: Leading a multi-tier team of Warehouse Managers and Logistics Leads.

  Vendor Management: Evaluating and managing 3PL partners and transporter fleets to ensure scalability during peak seasons.

Education and Experience

1218 years in Supply Chain/Logistics; at least 5 years leading multi-site operations.
Grocery Retail, FMCG, or High-Volume E-commerce (e.g., Quick Commerce).
Proven track record of managing 5,000 Cr+ annual business volume.
Advanced proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), SQL
MBA in Supply Chain/Operations from a premier institute or an Engineering background.
