Job summary

Alliance Recruitment Agency is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead strategy development across SCM, inventory, and logistics for distribution to multiple sales channels.

You will forecast demand, coordinate with production, monitor performance, and negotiate with transport providers. Proficiency in Excel/Sheets is required to manage MIS effectively.

• Experience: Preferably FMCG or retail background.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all supply chain activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery across all sales channels.
• Forecast demand and share requirements with production on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.
• Reduce returns by monitoring returns, developing depletion plans, and avoiding overstocking at points of sale.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, community organizations, and regulatory bodies.
• Create inventory plans, monitor stock and finished goods, and align resources to budget.
• Oversee logistics from plant to city warehouses to ensure timely deliveries.
• Manage intra-city distribution, dispatch plans, and delivery to retail stores.
• Supervise warehouse operations and ensure statutory compliance.
• Track SCM and logistics performance using metrics like costs, damages, TAT, and fulfillment rates.
• Identify process gaps and propose improvements to SCM and logistics operations.
• Liaise with and negotiate terms with transport providers and dealers.

Job description

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy Development:

• Supply Chain Management: Oversee all supply chain activities to ensure accurate and timely delivery of products across all sales channels.
• Demand Forecasting: Forecast demand and share the requirement with production teams on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.
• Returns Management: Reduce sales returns, damaged goods, and short-expiry products by monitoring returns, developing depletion plans, and avoiding overstocking at points of sale.
• Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, community organizations, and regulatory bodies.
• Inventory Planning: Create inventory plans, monitor stock and finished goods levels, and manage resource allocation according to the budget.
• Logistics Supervision: Oversee logistics from the plant to each city warehouse to ensure timely deliveries.
• Distribution Management: Manage intra-city day-to-day logistics as per the distribution plan, including creating daily dispatch plans, transportation of finished goods to retail stores, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Warehouse Management: Supervise warehouse operations to ensure statutory compliance and optimize warehouse efficiency.
• Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze SCM and logistics operations by measuring parameters like transportation costs, damages, TAT (turnaround time), and order fulfillment rates.
• Process Optimization: Identify process gaps in SCM and logistics operations, proposing solutions to improve efficiency and continuously monitoring SCM metrics.
• Stakeholder Negotiation: Liaise with and negotiate terms with external stakeholders such as transportation service providers and dealers.
