Job summary

See Linkages in Vadodara is seeking an experienced Senior SCM leader to direct procurement, planning, stores and logistics. You will define sourcing strategies for raw materials and components, drive supplier development, negotiate contracts and lead S&OP and demand forecasting to optimize working capital.

Collaboration with production, quality and finance is essential to ensure on-time materials and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management or Operations preferred.
• 15–20 years of SCM leadership experience in manufacturing.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Lead & Develop and implement Supply Chain strategy aligned with business objectives.


• Lead Procurement, Planning, Stores and Logistics functions to ensure operational excellence.


• Establish sourcing strategies for raw materials, bought-out components, consumables and subcontracting services.


• Drive supplier development programs and strengthen strategic supplier partnerships.


• Negotiate annual rate contracts, commercial agreements and long-term sourcing arrangements.


• Ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining optimum inventory levels.


• Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and demand forecasting processes.


• Drive working capital optimization through inventory reduction initiatives.


• Develop alternate sources and localization plans for critical commodities.


• Monitor procurement and supply chain KPIs including:


• Supplier OTD


• Inventory Turns


• Cost Savings


• Material Availability


• Forecast Accuracy


• Supplier Quality Performance


• Manage supply chain risks and business continuity plans.


• Lead supplier audits, compliance reviews and performance assessments.


• Drive value engineering, cost reduction and productivity improvement projects.


• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Sales teams for effective supply chain execution.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements and ethical sourcing practices.


• Build and develop high-performance SCM teams through coaching and capability development.


• Lead digitalization and process improvement initiatives within SCM.


• Support capital procurement, expansion projects and new product development activities.


• Prepare SCM budgets, forecasts and management reports.


• Take up additional responsibilities assigned by Management.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering. Preferred: MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management.

Vadodara-based profiles with strong machining industry experience, preferably candidates having hands‑on exposure to precision machining, subcontracting operations, vendor development, strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management within engineering/manufacturing industries.

With 15- 20 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Vendor Development, Planning, Inventory Control, and Logistics within Manufacturing Industry.

Minimum 5 years experience in leadership role handling SCM function.
