- The Head of SCM is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end‑to‑end supply chain processes to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and superior quality. This includes procurement, inventory management, logistics, vendor management, and supply chain strategy. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of supply chain practices in the machine tools industry, and a proven ability to align supply chain operations with business objectives.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks across the supply chain to ensure business continuity.
- Drive initiatives to enhance supply chain agility, efficiency, and resilience.
Procurement Management:
- Oversee procurement strategies to ensure cost‑effective sourcing of raw materials and components.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to reduce dependency and ensure quality.
Inventory and Warehouse Management:
- Optimize inventory levels to balance availability with cost efficiency.
- Implement robust inventory tracking systems to minimize stockouts and excess stock.
- Ensure effective warehouse operations, including storage, handling, and dispatch.
Logistics and Distribution:
- Manage logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products.
- Optimize transportation networks to reduce costs and improve reliability.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and standards.
- Establish performance metrics for vendors and conduct regular evaluations.
- Collaborate with vendors to improve quality, lead times, and delivery performance.
- Address vendor issues proactively to avoid disruptions.
Process Improvement and Technology Adoption:
- Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Leverage digital tools such as ERP, MRP, and SCM software for process optimization.
- Drive automation and data‑driven decision‑making in supply chain operations.
- Build, train, and manage a high‑performing SCM team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance using key metrics such as cost savings, lead times, and on‑time delivery.
- Generate reports and insights for senior management to support strategic decision‑making.
- In‑depth knowledge of procurement, logistics, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics tools.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.

- Understanding of industry‑specific challenges, including machining, tooling, and materials.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM).

Experience:
- 20+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the machine tools or manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex supply chains in a high‑mix, low‑volume environment.
