Job summary

Classic Search in Bengaluru seeks a hands-on Head Plant Operations & Supply Chain to lead end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain activities, including sourcing, production planning, PPC, inventory, stores and quality.

You will develop and qualify vendors for machined, fabricated, electrical, pneumatic and bought-out components, drive supplier quality, delivery reliability and cost improvements, and own Make/Buy decisions.

Qualifications

• Lead end-to-end Supply Chain, Sourcing, Production, PPC, Inventory, Stores and Quality operations.
• Develop and qualify vendors for machined, fabricated, electrical, pneumatic and bought-out components.
• Drive supplier quality, delivery reliability, lead-time and cost improvements.
• Develop alternate sources and Make/Buy strategies.
• Own production planning and execution across multiple machine families.
• Improve productivity, throughput, utilisation and manufacturing capacity.
• Establish inventory norms and strengthen material planning and traceability.
• Own the end-to-end quality system covering supplier quality, incoming inspection, storage, assembly, testing and final machine acceptance.
• Drive DFMA, DFMEA, value engineering, component standardisation and part rationalisation in collaboration with Design/Product Building.
• Review drawings, tolerances, materials, specifications and vendor manufacturing capabilities.
• Build scalable manufacturing systems and reduce dependence on individual employees.
