Job summary

CIG Hr Service is seeking a senior supply chain planner to lead integrated demand and supply planning across multiple product categories in Mumbai, India. You will optimize forecasting, manage inventory and coordinate with logistics to ensure efficient distribution.

The role requires 12+ years in manufacturing supply chains, advanced forecasting skills, and proven leadership. You will drive capacity planning for various sales channels and support NPD launches with stabilization of sales.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters in SCM/Operations/Business Admin or related field.
• 12+ years in supply chain planning and inventory management in manufacturing.
• Experience with forecasting and inventory optimization tools.
• Strong leadership and team development abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated demand and supply planning strategies across product categories.
• Improve forecasting and replenishment to shorten inventory holding period while preserving availability.
• Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, stock-out rates and service levels.
• Implement proactive monitoring to identify shortages before impacting sales.
• Coordinate with logistics for distribution across geographies and channels.
• Provide regular reports to senior management with insights and corrective actions.
• Analyze history, market trends and sales projections to forecast capacity needs.
• Ensure timely procurement from contract manufacturers via capacity planning.
• Develop supply chain strategies for channels like ECOM, Trade, Export, Modern Trade, Retails.
• Plan production for NPD launches until sales stabilize.

• Drive initiatives to shorten the average inventory holding period while maintaining product availability through better forecasting, lean practices and efficient replenishment cycle.
• Track KPIs such as forecast accuracy, inventory turnover, stock-out rates and service levels
• Implement proactive monitoring systems to identify potential shortages before they impact sales
• Coordinate with logistics for efficient distribution across multiple geographies and channels
• Provide regular reports to senior management with insights and corrective action plans
• To analyze historical data, market trend and sales projection to forecast short - mid - long term capacity needs
• Ensure timely procurement from approved contract manufacturers by proper capacity planning & provide back-end support for smooth operations
• Develop supply chain strategies according to the Business needs of various sales channels such as ECOM, Trade, Export, Modern Trade, Retails
• Production & Supply Planning of NPD launches till stabilization of the sales

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration or related field
• Minimum 12+ years of experience into supply chain, planning and inventory management within manufacturing (preferably furniture, FMCD, FMCG industries)
• Advanced forecasting and inventory optimization tools
• Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimize team performance and development
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, manage priorities, and consistently meet deadlines
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
