Job summary

Venwind Refex Power Limited is seeking a seasoned procurement leader with 15–20 years in wind turbine sourcing. The role focuses on end-to-end procurement of hub, nacelle and drivetrain components, building global supplier networks and driving cost optimisation.

You will align sourcing with production plans and manage long-term contracts. Ideal candidates will have direct wind OEM experience, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to read BOMs and engineering change requests.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of procurement/strategic sourcing experience
• Direct procurement in wind turbine OEM/manufacturing
• Experience buying critical turbine components (gearbox, generator, bearings, castings, main shaft, pitch/yaw)

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement of hub, nacelle and drivetrain components, assemblies and bought-out items
• Build sourcing strategies aligned to production plans, cost targets and project needs
• Qualify and develop domestic and international suppliers; drive localisation and alternate sourcing
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties and price variation clauses; close long-term supply and framework agreements
• Prepare annual and long-range procurement forecasts, budgets and cash-flow plans; plan long-lead items early
• Run supplier business reviews and drive corrective actions on cost, quality and delivery
• Set inventory norms and safety stocks; track ageing, excess stock and working capital
• Work with Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, Finance and Logistics to keep material flowing

Desired Candidate Profile

• Must have direct procurement experience in a wind turbine OEM / manufacturing company
• Hands-on experience buying critical turbine components such as gearbox, generator, bearings, castings, main shaft, pitch and yaw systems
• Proven track record managing domestic and international OEMs and strategic suppliers
• Strong negotiation, contracting and supplier development skills
• Comfortable reading drawings, BOMs and engineering change requests
• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; MBA / PG in Supply Chain, Operations or Business Management preferred
