Ideal candidates have extensive experience with 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans, ensuring strict adherence to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of eight QC tools (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) and problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 frameworks.
• Experience leading PPAP submissions, FMEA, and Control Plans.
• Experience coordinating CAPA and MRB activities across suppliers and internal teams.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Overall plants' Process and Product quality to be ensured.

CMM and Spectro analysis knowledge important.

Knowledge on 7 QC tools, 8D , Root cause analysis, Why-Why analysis are essential.

Lead cross-functional teams to investigate internal and external failures using methodologies like 8D, 5-Why, and Ishikawa (Fishbone) diagrams

Serve as the main point of contact for customer quality issues, coordinating swift corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Apply SPC methods to track critical die casting parameters like injection pressure, melt temperature, and cycle times to prevent defect trends

Monitor and minimize specific die casting defects like porosity, cold shuts, flashes, misruns, and shrinkage

Oversee testing of incoming raw materials (e.g., aluminum, zinc, or magnesium alloys) to ensure strict chemical composition standards.

Manage non-destructive testing (NDT) such as X-ray/radiography inspection for internal porosity, leak testing for pressure tightness, and destructive tracking.

Supervise the layout and inspection team using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify tight geometric tolerances.

Maintain the calibration schedules and documentation for all physical measuring instruments, checkers, and lab equipment

Implement and audit frameworks like ISO 9001 and IATF 16949

Lead the preparation and submission of PPAP packages, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans.

Act as the primary lead for internal, customer-facing, and third-party registrar quality audits

Chair the MRB to determine the disposition of non-conforming or quarantined casted parts

Manage and mentor quality engineers, laboratory technicians, and floor inspectors

Evaluate and audit upstream vendors, including raw ingot suppliers and external surface finishing vendors

Cultivate a \"zero-defect\" proactive culture through targeted employee quality training on the shop floor

Monitoring and maintaining KPIs for the department activities.

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma with 10+ Years experience or Graduate engineer with 7 + years experience in Die casting industry preferred.
