Job summary

Veolia India is seeking a Chemical or Environmental engineer with 5–10 years of water and wastewater treatment experience to lead proposal engineering for complex projects, including RO, UF, and thermal ZLD systems.

You will review tender requirements, develop process descriptions, PFDs, HFDs, PID layouts, and equipment lists; estimate Capex/Opex, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with global teams to deliver robust water solutions.

Qualifications

• A Chemical engineering graduate or Chemical / environmental engineer Masters degree
• 5–10 years of experience in water & wastewater treatment industry

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal engineering for water industry projects, plan and formulate deliverables.
• Review tender specs, select processes, develop PFD/HFD/PID, and layouts.
• Develop capex/opex estimates and assist cost optimization.
• Mentor other engineers and interface with customers and global teams.

Job Summary

A Chemical engineering graduate or Chemical / environmental engineer Masters degree holder with minimum 5-10 years of experience in water & waste water treatment industry. The role requires the person to be able to have deep knowledge of water chemistry and experience of designing, costing , proposal development of various water and waste water treatment processes including thermal systems (Zero Liquid discharge systems).

Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

• Perform as the lead Proposal engineer to plan and formulate proposal Engineering. Deliverables in water Industry Processes and Products. Knowledge on waste watertreatment , membrane bio reactor technology, thermal ZLD systems will be of added advantage.
• Able to understand water chemistry , identify red flags, to be able to select unit operations and design conventional as well advanced pretreatment like ultrafiltration, Design RO system for various water and waste water applications, design biological system , understanding of thermal evaporator system .
• To be able to review Tender electromechanical specifications, Engineering design standards, Proposal Playbook, safety and customer contract requirements and come up with right process and product selection. Able to develop Process Description, Process Calculations, PFD, HFD, PID, Layouts, load list, Instrument list, civil inputs drawings for complex projects.
• Sound working knowledge on Design tools like UF/RO/Ion Exchange Projections and other tools.
• Able to develop Capex, Opex, O&M, ROI calculations to optimize the Process and cost
• Able to conduct global design reviews / participate and lead Hazop /SIL.Reviews. Able to interface with customer’s technical representatives and/or the Suez in country local Lead Project Engineer or Proposal Manager reviews
• Knowledge on Design tools, International codes and standards - ASME, DIN, EN,IS, BS, AS etc.,
• Knowledge on Materials / Metallurgy on metallic and nonmetallic Pumps, valves,Equipments, pipes and fittings
• knowledge on Electrical, Instrumentation and control systems applicable for water and waste water Schemes and Products.
• Working knowledge on ACAD / Office tools
• Assist local / global Proposal Engineers / Sales team for the Bid Engineering deliverables.
• Mentor other Engineers
