Job summary

Erde Energy in Raigarh, India, seeks a senior manufacturing lead to oversee the retrofit plant for earthmoving equipment. The role focuses on scaling production, integrating electro-mechanical systems, and ensuring BOM accuracy on CKD/SKD kits.

The candidate will drive throughput, manage daily plans, enforce safety, and apply rigorous problem-solving to reduce costs and improve integration accuracy across heavy-duty welding and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in heavy machinery.
• Experience on a heavy-duty assembly line.
• Deep understanding of heavy-duty welding, structural alignment, and torqueing standards.
• Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S) and Root Cause Analysis (FMEA, 8D).
• Profitable and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the assembly flow for Retrofit and Greenfield projects for Excavators and Wheel Loaders.
• Oversee electro-mechanical integration of PMSM motors, battery packs, HV wiring, and cooling systems.
• Lead CKD/SKD management and ensure 100% BOM accuracy.
• Implement rigorous testing for Zero-Leak hydraulics and Zero-Fault electrical insulation.
• Own the Daily Production Plan (DPP) and drive OEE by removing bottlenecks in welding and final calibration.
• Enforce safety protocols.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving with root cause analysis and results-oriented mindset.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

Lead the assembly line and manufacturing facility of retrofit plant for earthmoving equipment to increase volume and output.

1. Production Scalability: Manage the assembly flow for Excavators and Wheel Loaders, optimizing for both Retrofit (teardown/rebuild) and Greenfield (new build) workflows.
2. Electro-Mechanical Integration: Oversee the criticality of PMSM motors, battery packs, and HV wiring harnesses with traditional mechanical chassis and hydraulic systems. Ensure cooling systems integration to ensure thermal management of critical components.
3. CKD/SKD Management: Lead the technical intake and assembly of imported and domestic kits, ensuring 100% bill-of-materials (BOM) accuracy.
4. Quality & Precision: Implement rigorous testing protocols for "Zero-Leak" hydraulics and "Zero-Fault" electrical insulation.
5. Throughput Optimization: Own the Daily Production Plan (DPP). Drive OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) by identifying bottlenecks in structural welding or final calibration.
6. Safety Leadership: Enforce safety protocols.
7. Problem Solving: Strong problem solving abilities with expertise in root cause analysis (e.g. 5 Whys, FMEA) and results oriented mindset towards production target, cost reduction, integration accuracy.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 10+ years of experience in heavy machinery(CE /Automotive / Commercial Vehicles).
2. Direct Floor Experience: Must have experience on a heavy-duty assembly line.
3. Expertise: Deep understanding of heavy-duty welding, structural alignment, and torqueing standards.
4. Tooling & Lean: Lean Manufacturing (Kaizen, 5S) and Root Cause Analysis (FMEA, 8D) to minimize rework on expensive EV components.
