Job summary

Erde Energy is seeking an experienced AGM Engineering & Operations to lead the setup and operations of a heavy steel fabrication plant for excavator and loader components, including booms, arms, X-frames, and buckets.

You will drive engineering excellence, fabrication technology, plant operations, quality standards, and overall manufacturing efficiency, building and leading teams while ensuring safety and lean material flow.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Heavy Steel Fabrication Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in fabrication shops manufacturing excavator, loader, HCV, or heavy structural machinery components.
• Strong knowledge of welding technology, machining technology, fabrication plant operations, and structural steel manufacturing.
• Experience in setting up or managing fabrication plants and large-scale manufacturing operations.
• Strong leadership, operational planning, and P&L management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Greenfield plant setup, including facility layout for lean heavy-material flow.
• Select, install, and commission fabrication and machining equipment such as CNC laser/plasma cutters, heavy plate rollers, multi-axis bending machines, and floor-type boring machines.
• Establish welding production lines with robotic welding cells, heavy-duty positioners, and custom fixtures.
• Implement welding processes including beveling, pre-heating, multi-pass welding, PWHT, and stress-relieving techniques to ensure structural durability.
• Oversee precision machining and line boring to achieve critical geometric tolerances for pins and bushings.
• Drive quality control and manufacturing standards across fabrication and machining operations.
• Manage plant operations, production planning, budgets, raw steel procurement, manufacturing cost, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
• Build and lead teams of manufacturing engineers, quality supervisors, machinists, and certified welders.
• Establish and maintain a strong industrial safety culture with a zero-harm approach.
