Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (Automotive and Farm Equipment Business) is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with 5–10 years in automotive production. Responsibilities

• Develop robust assembly and installation processes for wiring harnesses, ECUs, sensors, and electrical components.
• Plan infra requirements, capacity, and layouts for new products; monitor progress against timelines.
• Oversee design and implementation of new processes, equipment, and tooling; improve workflows and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot electrical system issues and minimize downtime in production.
• Oversee process changes, communicate/train associates on changes and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize layout, material flow, and waste reduction.
• Mentor electrical/electronics/mechatronics competencies within the manufacturing team.
• Lead cycle-time studies and value stream mapping to eliminate bottlenecks.

Experience: 5-10 Years of experience in Automotive Manufacturing Engineering, experience in Passenger Vehicles, Commercial Vehicles, Défense Vehicles, Hands-on exposure to electrical, Electronics assembly processes and vehicle production system

Job Description

• Product Industrialization: Develop robust assembly and installation processes for wiring harnesses, ECUs, sensors, and electrical components. Plan for the Infra requirements, Capacity planning, Layouts for new products and monitor the implementation of process development activities and monitoring progress against timelines.
• Process development, Standardisation & Improvement: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling including workflows, travel cards and analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support for production and assembly operations: Troubleshoot electrical system issues related to harnesses, connectors, ECUs, and communication networks with Software’s like CAD, Zuken-E3, PBC fault finding, Minimize downtime, rework, and production losses through timely resolution
• Change Management: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of the changes in manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling and process documents w.r.t the design changes & communicate/train associates for the changes and application processes.
• Continuous improvement: Develop and implement strategies for efficient manufacturing, including optimizing equipment layout, ensuring material flow, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and eliminate waste, and driving continuous improvement.
• Competency Building: Train & mentor Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics knowhow & integration competency building in manufacturing team (associates), with dexterity experience.
• Industrial Engineering: Ability tolead and implement detailed cycle time studiesand value stream mapping to identify and eliminate process bottlenecks and non-value-added activities etc.

• Automotive Electrical & Electronic Systems, Vehicle electrical schematic design

• Hand on experience to handle CRO, DSO, function generator, Multimeter etc
