Job summary

AnyTime Diesel seeks a strategic Head of Operations to own end-to-end operations, fleet management, manpower, routing, and fulfilment as the company scales across multiple cities. You will work with founders to drive operational excellence, implement scalable systems, and optimize processes with data-driven decisions.

The ideal candidate has 5-8 years in logistics, strong route optimization expertise, and a track record in high-growth environments.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in logistics and fleet operations.
• Experience in multi-city scaling and cost optimization.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management.
• Exposure to fuel or last-mile deliveries preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field; MBA preferred.

A strategic, execution-first leader responsible for owning end-to-end operations, fleet, manpower, routing, and fulfilment as the company scales across multiple cities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations & Process Management

• Own and manage end-to-end operations across cities.
• Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and scalability.
• Define and implement SOPs across all operational functions.

2. Fleet & Logistics Management

• Oversee fleet utilization, maintenance, and expansion planning.
• Optimize vehicle productivity and reduce downtime.
• Manage vendor partnerships and service agreements.

3. Team & Organization Building

• Lead and mentor Sr Ops Managers, Ops Managers, and field teams.
• Build a scalable org structure for multi-city expansion.
• Drive performance culture and accountability.

4. Routing, Dispatch & Efficiency

• Implement route optimization strategies and tools.
• Improve delivery turnaround time (TAT) and reduce delays.
• Ensure efficient order allocation and dispatch systems.

5. Cost Optimization & Profitability

• Monitor and reduce cost per delivery.
• Improve fleet efficiency and manpower productivity.
• Own city-level P&L for operations.

6. Process & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and fuel handling standards.
• Establish strong operational controls and audit mechanisms.
• Continuously identify and fix process gaps.

7. Technology & Data-Driven Operations

• Implement tools for GPS tracking, routing, and MIS dashboards.
• Drive data-backed decision making.
• Build reporting systems for real-time visibility.

8. Reporting & Stakeholder Management

• Present operational performance to founders/leadership.
• Collaborate with Sales, Tech, and Finance teams.
• Support fundraising and expansion planning.

Skills & Experience

• 5-8 years of experience in logistics, fleet operations, and single/multi-city scaling.
• Strong expertise in route optimization and operational efficiency.
• Proven team leadership and organizational management skills.
• Experience in startup or high-growth environments is preferred.
• Exposure to fuel operations or last-mile delivery operations is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA / PGDM in Operations, Supply Chain, or General Management (preferred but not mandatory).
