Job summary

SpaceBasic, Inc. is seeking a senior leader to run People and Administration, directly partnering with the founders to manage day-to-day internal functions.

You will lead HR functions including hiring support, onboarding, payroll, and employee records, while coordinating with the accounts team on bookkeeping and compliance. You will also oversee office operations, vendor management, and cross-team coordination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in administration, HR, finance or operations.
• An accounting background.
• Experience leading people, with sound judgement and discretion.
• Clear communication.
• Comfort running a company on software: accounting, HR and payroll systems, spreadsheets, and team tools.
• Curiosity about AI tools, and a habit of replacing manual work with software.
• Experience in an educational institution, startup or SaaS company.
