Job summary

Thinktank Engineering, Pune, seeks a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead the Finance & Accounts function for its EPC/Construction projects. You will manage end-to-end accounting, banking, statutory compliance, and project accounting across multiple sites.

You will mentor the Finance & Accounts team, drive financial planning, control processes, and provide strategic insight for commercial decisions across the project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA with extensive experience in financial management, banking, statutory compliance, project accounting, taxation and controls.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to lead end-to-end finance operations across multiple EPC/construction projects.
• Experience in EPC/Construction industry is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations including GL, AP, AR and financial closing.
• Manage banking operations: fund management, working capital, bank reconciliations, LC/BG, coordination with banks.
• Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial statements, budgets, forecasts and cash flow reports.
• Handle project accounting, job costing, WIP, revenue recognition and profitability analysis for EPC projects.
• Ensure GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act and statutory compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities for audits.
• Monitor vendor payments, receivables, payables and cash flow.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, accounting policies and SOPs; support commercial and project teams in contract reviews and financial planning.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

• Manage banking operations, including fund management, working capital, bank reconciliations, Letters of Credit (LC), Bank Guarantees (BG), and coordination with financial institutions.
• Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reports.
• Handle project accounting, job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and profitability analysis for EPC projects.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other statutory requirements.
• Manage statutory, internal, GST, and tax audits and coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor vendor payments, customer collections, receivables, payables, and cash flow.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, accounting policies, and SOPs. Support commercial and project teams in contract reviews, financial planning, and commercial decision-making.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.

Preferred candidate profile
