Role Purpose
To lead the Customer Engineering function for EME and act as the single-point owner for all engineering engagements with OEMs and Tier-1 customers across Automotive Electronics, Telematics, ADAS, ECUs, BCMs, IoT, Connected Vehicle Systems, Climate Control, EV Electronics and emerging technologies.
Overall Experience
- 15-20 years of experience in Automotive Electronics.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Engineering Leadership
- Lead the Customer Engineering organization for all Automotive Electronics programs.
- Build strong technical relationships with OEMs, Tier-1 customers and technology partners.
- Translate customer requirements into engineering solutions and manufacturing programs.
- Act as the primary engineering interface between customers and EME internal teams.
- Drive engineering credibility and establish as a technology-focused electronics partner.
2. Business Development Support
- Support Business Head and Sales teams in acquisition of new programs.
- Participatein customer meetings, technical reviews and RFQ discussions.
- Provide engineering feasibility, solution architecture and cost optimization inputs.
- Identify new technology opportunities in Connected Mobility, ADAS, Telematics and EV Electronics.
- Support annual order book and revenue growth plans.
3. Product & System Engineering
Lead customer engineering activities for:
- TelematicsControl Units (TCU)
- ElectronicControl Units (ECU)
- IoT
- Climate Control
- Body Control Modules (BCM)
- Central Control Units (CCU)
- Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS)
- ADAS Solutions
- IntelligentRider Assistance Systems (iRAS)
- Review architecture, hardware, software and mechanical requirements.
- Ensure alignment with automotive standards and customer specifications.
4. Customer Satisfaction
- Drive customer technical reviews and escalation management.
- Ensure best-in-class responsiveness for engineering queries.
- Improve customer scorecards and engineering satisfaction metrics.
- Develop long-term strategic partnerships with key accounts.
Educational Qualifications
- B.E./B.Techin Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automotive Electronics or related discipline.
