Job summary

Immacule Lifesciences seeks an experienced leader to head Indirect Procurement and Engineering Commercials for an injectable sterile manufacturing facility. You will oversee strategic sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, Capex, engineering items, consumables, QC chemicals and impurities to ensure cost efficiency, timely delivery, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 15–20+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/manufacturing procurement.
• Strong experience in Indirect, Engineering, Consumables and Capex Procurement, preferably in Injectable/Sterile facilities.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, vendor development and contract management.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement of engineering items, indirect materials, consumables, Capex, projects and services.
• Manage procurement of Engineering Spares, Plant Consumables, QC Chemicals, Reference Standards, Impurities and Laboratory Consumables.
• Drive RFQ, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations, vendor finalisation and PO/contract closure.
• Develop and manage strategic suppliers, alternate sources and long-term vendor partnerships.
• Drive cost savings, value engineering and spend optimisation through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
• Ensure procurement compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, approved specifications and audit standards.

Role Summary

Lead Indirect Procurement and Engineering Commercials for an Injectable / Sterile manufacturing facility, covering strategic sourcing, vendor development, negotiations, Capex, engineering items, consumables, QC chemicals and impurities, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement of engineering items, indirect materials, consumables, Capex, projects and services.
• Manage procurement of Engineering Spares, Plant Consumables, QC Chemicals, Reference Standards, Impurities and Laboratory Consumables.
• Manage procurement for Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Utilities, Instrumentation, Automation, Civil and Engineering Spares.
• Drive RFQ, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiations, vendor finalisation and PO/contract closure.
• Develop and manage strategic suppliers, alternate sources and long-term vendor partnerships.
• Drive cost savings, value engineering and spend optimisation through strategic sourcing and negotiations.
• Manage AMC/CMC, fabrication, installation, commissioning and technical service contracts.
• Ensure timely availability of critical spares, consumables, QC chemicals and impurities to support uninterrupted sterile manufacturing and testing operations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Manufacturing, QA/QC, Finance and Stores for procurement planning and execution.
• Ensure procurement compliance with cGMP, regulatory requirements, approved specifications and audit standards.
• Lead the Commercial/Purchase team and establish effective procurement processes, KPIs and controls.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain; MBA/PGDM preferred.
• 15–20+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/manufacturing procurement.
• Strong experience in Indirect, Engineering, Consumables and Capex Procurement, preferably in Injectable/Sterile facilities.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, negotiation, vendor development and contract management.
• Exposure to SAP/ERP and large-value procurement spend preferred.
