Job summary

JobItUs Thane - Mumbai is seeking a Head/AVP - Operations with 15–20 years of experience in engineering-driven plant operations. You will lead end-to-end production, quality, maintenance, stores and overall operations to meet daily and monthly targets.

Responsibilities include optimizing OEE, driving cost reduction, TPM/Lean initiatives, manpower planning and ensuring safety and compliance across the plant. Fastener manufacturing experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) required.
• 15–20 years of experience in plant operations.
• Experience in fastener manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end plant operations, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Operations.
• Ensure smooth production operations to achieve daily/monthly production and delivery targets.
• Monitor and improve OEE, productivity, machine utilization and overall plant efficiency.
• Drive cost reduction, waste elimination and process improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective manpower planning, workforce utilization and team performance.
• Implement TPM, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and continuous improvement practices.
• Coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams to minimize rejection, breakdowns and production downtime.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety requirements, SOPs and statutory compliance.
• Monitor key plant KPIs and prepare action plans to improve productivity, quality, cost and delivery performance.
• Manage plant capacity planning, production scheduling and resource allocation as per business requirements.
• Develop and mentor plant teams, ensuring strong discipline, accountability and operational excellence.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions for sustainable improvement.
• Work closely with senior management on plant strategy, expansion, capacity enhancement and operational planning.
• Fastener manufacturing experience is strongly preferred, with knowledge of fastener production processes and related manufacturing operations.
