Job summary

JOB -xz Services seeks an experienced Plant Head / Manufacturing Leader to drive end-to-end plant operations in Pune, overseeing production, quality, maintenance and supply chain with a strong emphasis on safety, cost optimisation and continuous improvement.

You will champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and automation initiatives, mentor cross-functional teams and partner with senior leadership to deliver KPI targets and sustain global competitiveness in the technical textiles sector.

Qualifications

• 20–26 years in manufacturing/plant operations with leadership experience.
• Textile/Technical Textile manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Production, Quality, Supply Chain and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead overall plant operations including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Operations Excellence.
• Develop strategies to improve productivity, efficiency and plant performance.
• Manage end-to-end production with quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety and regulations.
• Drive EHS, safety and environmental compliance across the plant.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing and Supply Chain.
• Manage plant budgets and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Mentor and develop plant teams to a high-performance culture.
• Identify opportunities for automation, digitalization and technology adoption.
• Collaborate with senior management, customers, vendors and stakeholders.

Job Summary:

The candidate will be responsible for achieving production targets, improving operational efficiency, ensuring quality and safety standards, optimizing costs, and leading cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Profile:

• 20-26 years of experience in manufacturing / plant operations, with significant experience in plant leadership roles.
• Candidates from Textile / Technical Textile manufacturing companies will be preferred.
• Experience in managing large-scale manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.
• Strong exposure to Production Management, Quality, Supply Chain, Cost Control and Process Improvement.
• Experience in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma / TPM / Continuous Improvement will be preferred.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
