Job summary

GameChange Energy in Mumbai is seeking an Electronics Technician to troubleshoot and analyze motion control electronic components, repair nodes, and perform RCA in a manufacturing environment.

The role involves breaking down actuators for RCA, maintaining RCA records in Excel, identifying common electronic failures, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring quality and assembly standards. Safety footwear is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics or Electronics & Communication.
  • Physically able to lift to 50 lbs and work in standing or seated positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to meet strict timelines while accurately interpreting numeric data and following written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints
  • Must have at least 2-5 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and analyse motion control electronic components
  • Repair nodes by components such as battery charge controllers, wireless communication components, switches, relays
  • Perform root-cause analysis (RCA) in a manufacturing environment
  • Breakdown of actuators to perform RCA
  • Maintain records of the RCA results using computer software such as Microsoft Excel
  • Help identify the most common electronic failure through visual inspections and software tools
  • Work with engineers and development team to provide input on RCA results
  • Perform quality assurance of assemblers and other technicians work
  • Help establish new and maintain existing assembly standards
  • Occasionally assist in counting inventory needed to make repairs
  • Handle incoming return merchandise authorization (RMA) requests from field as needed
  • Wear safety equipment at all times. MUST wear steel toed boots at all times during work hours
  • Comply with company and OSHA policies; participate in safety and accident prevention meetings
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

Additional skills required

  • Ability to perform SMT soldering and rework with attention to quality and precision
  • Foundational knowledge of Embedded C programming, MATLAB, and PCB design and simulation tools such as KiCad,Altium Designer, and Proteus.
