ABOUT THE POSITION
ACG Infotech Limited is looking for a Hardware & Linux Network Administrator with strong hands-on experience in Computer Hardware, Linux Administration, Server Administration and Network Administration.
THE CANDIDATE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MANAGING THE COMPANY'S COMPUTERS, SERVERS, LINUX SYSTEMS, LAN/WAN NETWORK, ROUTERS, SWITCHES, INTERNET CONNECTIVITY, PRINTERS AND OTHER IT INFRASTRUCTURE.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WHO CAN INDEPENDENTLY IDENTIFY, TROUBLESHOOT AND RESOLVE HARDWARE, LINUX, SERVER AND NETWORKING PROBLEMS WITH MINIMUM DEPENDENCY ON EXTERNAL SUPPORT.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. COMPUTER HARDWARE & DESKTOP SUPPORT
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of Desktop Computers and Laptops.
- Diagnose and repair hardware problems involving Motherboard, RAM, HDD/SSD, SMPS, CPU, Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse and other peripherals.
- Operating System installation and troubleshooting.
- Hardware upgrades, replacement and preventive maintenance.
- Installation and configuration of Printers, Scanners and other peripherals.
- Maintain IT hardware inventory and asset records.
2. LINUX ADMINISTRATION
- Installation, configuration and administration of Linux Operating Systems.
- Hands-on administration of Ubuntu / Debian / CentOS / Rocky Linux or similar distributions.
- Linux user and group management.
- File and directory permissions management.
- Package installation and system updates.
- Process and service management.
- Disk, memory and CPU monitoring.
- Linux log monitoring and troubleshooting.
- SSH configuration and remote administration.
- Basic Shell/Bash scripting.
- Linux server backup and recovery.
3. NETWORK ADMINISTRATION
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of LAN and WAN Networks.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of Routers, Switches and Wi‑Fi Networks.
- IP addressing and subnet configuration.
- Troubleshooting TCP/IP connectivity.
- Configuration and troubleshooting of DNS and DHCP.
- Network connectivity and Internet troubleshooting.
- Network cable and physical connectivity troubleshooting.
- Basic VPN and Firewall configuration/support.
- Network monitoring and identification of connectivity/performance issues.
4. SERVER & INFRASTRUCTURE MANAGEMENT
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux Servers.
- Server monitoring and performance troubleshooting.
- Manage server storage, users, permissions and services.
- Maintain server availability and minimize downtime.
- Perform regular system updates and security patches.
- Maintain server backup and recovery procedures.
- Troubleshoot server hardware, OS and connectivity problems.
5. IT INFRASTRUCTURE SUPPORT
- Provide technical support to employees for Hardware, Software, Linux and Network issues.
- Maintain IT infrastructure documentation.
- Maintain hardware/software inventory.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and hardware/network vendors.
- Ensure timely resolution of IT infrastructure incidents.
- Perform preventive maintenance of IT infrastructure.
- Maintain basic IT security and access-control practices.

- Have good communication skills and ability to support internal users.
