Job summary

Trinetra Wireless in Coimbatore is seeking a Hardware Implementation Engineer to install, wire, configure and test GPS tracking devices and FMS hardware at customer sites.

The role requires 1–3+ years in hardware installation or field service, strong wiring knowledge, and the ability to travel across India to client locations.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, Automobile or related field.
• 1–3+ years in hardware installation, field service, automotive electronics or GPS/telematics.
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and wiring.
• Hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of electronic/automotive devices is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of GPS, GSM/4G, IoT or vehicle tracking systems preferred.
• Ability to use basic electrical tools for testing and troubleshooting.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Basic computer and mobile app knowledge; good documentation.

Responsibilities

Trinetra Wireless is looking for a Hardware Implementation Engineer to support the installation, commissioning and maintenance of our Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) and GPS Tracking devices. The role involves working at customer locations, installing GPS tracking devices in vehicles, ensuring proper wiring and connectivity, troubleshooting hardware-related issues, and coordinating with customers and internal teams for successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and configure GPS tracking devices and FMS hardware in different types of vehicles.
• Perform proper vehicle wiring and electrical connections for GPS devices and related accessories.
• Commission and test devices to ensure proper GPS, power, ignition and communication connectivity.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, wiring, power supply and connectivity issues.
• Conduct device testing after installation and ensure the vehicle is successfully connected to the FMS platform.
• Handle installation, replacement, re-installation and maintenance of GPS devices at customer locations.
• Visit customer sites, fleet locations, workshops and vehicle yards as required.
• Coordinate with customers, fleet operators, technicians and internal teams during implementation.
• Provide basic technical guidance to customers and vehicle technicians.
• Maintain proper records of installations, device replacements, issues and service activities.
• Prepare installation/service reports and update the status of assigned activities.
• Follow company standards for installation quality, safety and documentation.
• Support field testing and implementation of new hardware/devices when required.
• Travel to different locations across India based on project requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, Automobile or a related field.
• 1 to 3+ years of experience in hardware installation, field service, automotive electronics, GPS tracking, telematics, IoT devices or a similar role.
• Good understanding of vehicle electrical systems and wiring.
• Hands-on experience with installation and troubleshooting of electronic/automotive devices will be an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of GPS, GSM/4G, IoT or vehicle tracking systems is preferred.
• Ability to use basic electrical and technical tools for testing and troubleshooting.
• Good problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers, mobile applications and technical documentation.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Ability to work independently at customer locations.

Travel Requirement

• Willingness to travel PAN India is mandatory.
• Candidate should be comfortable working at different customer locations, fleet yards and vehicle sites.
• Flexibility to work outside normal working hours when required for vehicle/fleet installation activities.
