Job summary

Montrans is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install GPS trackers, fuel sensors, RFID readers and other telematics devices on commercial vehicles. The role is field-based with the main work location in Hyderabad and may require travel across India.

You will install, calibrate and troubleshoot devices, provide on-site customer support, maintain tools and follow safety regulations. Freshers with Electrical/Automotive background are welcome; ITI or Diploma holders preferred.

Qualifications

• 0–3 years GPS experience; freshers welcome.
• Knowledge of vehicle wiring and auto electrical work.
• ITI or Diploma in Electrical/Automotive.
• Valid driver's license (optional).
• Willingness to travel and work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Install GPS trackers, fuel sensors, RFID readers and other sensors on commercial vehicles.
• Install, calibrate and troubleshoot GPS devices in the vehicle.
• Provide on-site customer support and service.
• Willingness to work in the field on any shift.
• Coordinate daily with the team and support MIS reporting.

Job description

This role primarily requires a Field Service Engineer to install GPS based vehicle tracking system, fuel sensors, RFID readers and other vehicle telematics products on all types of commercial vehicles such as cars, buses, trucks, HEMM etc., the main place of work is in the field. The Service Engineer will be based in Hyderabad and may have to travel all over India as required.

Responsibilities and Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing GPS vehicle trackers, fuel sensors, RFID readers and other sensors on all commercial vehicles according to the quality standards set by Montrans.
• Installation, calibration and troubleshooting of GPS devices/sensors in the vehicle.
• Provide satisfied customer support and service.
• Willing to work in the field on any shift.
• Daily coordination and support with the team.
• Responsible for presenting demo version to clients
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the area.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition.
• Follow safety regulations in the workshop.
• Need to support MIS report.

Required experience, skills and qualifications

• Hardworking and goal-oriented candidate.
• 0 to 3 years relevant GPS experience (freshers welcome)
• The candidate must have knowledge in the field of vehicle electrical wiring, auto electrical work.
• Basic training should be provided by the company if required.
• The candidate must be passionate about his work.
• Valid driver's license (optional)

It is highly desirable if the candidate has experience in car dealerships such as Bharat Benz, Ashok leyland, TATA Motors, Eicher, Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, Mahindra, etc.

Interested freshers with relevant academic background in Electrical/Automotive or work experience in Automotive Electrical, Vehicle Wiring, Vehicle Mechanical.
