Job summary

People Prime Worldwide in Chennai is seeking a Telemetics Field Support / Service Engineer to troubleshoot GPS/telematics devices, analyze data, and coordinate OTA activities for customers. The role requires hands-on field experience and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely issue resolution.

Ideal candidates will have 3–6 years of experience in field service, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience with GPS/telematics devices and vehicle tracking.
• Field troubleshooting and resolution of customer issues.
• Ability to collect, view, and analyze data.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis.
• Exposure to AIS140 empanelment processes in states.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Telematics devices in the field and isolate faults.

HI All,

We are looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused Telematics Field Support / Service Engineer with hands-on experience in GPS, telematics devices, vehicle tracking systems, and Vehicle Control Units (VCUs). The candidate will be responsible for field troubleshooting, resolving customer complaints, analyzing technical issues, supporting software/OTA activities, and improving overall service efficiency.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, willingness to travel to customer and field locations, and the ability to work closely with internal teams, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Role & responsibilities

• Experience in GPS, Telematics devices, and vehicle tracking.
• Have field experience in solving customer issues with the devices.
• Ability to gather, view, and analyze data.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet programs like MS Excel.
• Exposure to Coordinate for AIS140 Empanelment in states.
• Experience in field to analyze and resolve field issue related to Telematics and Vehicle control unit.
• Customer Centric focus.
• Improve service operation Efficiency and reduce TAT for customer Complaints.
• Exposure in handling Software flashing, OTA, Root cause analysis.
• Willing to travel the field to address customer Issues Voluntarily.
• Should have experience in troubleshooting.

• Fluent speaking in both English and Hindi are must .
