The Corporate Institute in Mumbai is seeking an Assistant Manager – AIF Fundraising & Investor Relations to support fundraising, investor onboarding, and relationship management for Category II AIFs.

You will identify and engage HNIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, IFAs, Wealth Managers, and institutions, coordinate KYC, documentation, and onboarding, and help achieve AUM and revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • 2–6 years of experience in AIF, PMS, Asset Management, Private Wealth, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Capital Markets.
  • Prior experience in AIF fundraising, distribution, investor relations, private markets, or investment products.
  • Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to interact confidently with HNIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, IFAs, Wealth Managers, and institutional clients.
  • Strong sales orientation with excellent follow-up and business development capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and MIS reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and develop new investor leads for the Category II AIF.
  • Identify prospective HNI/UHNI, Family Office, IFA, Wealth Manager, Corporate, Trust, and institutional investors.
  • Build and maintain a strong fundraising pipeline.
  • Assist senior team members in investor meetings, presentations, product discussions, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with IFAs, MFDs, Wealth Managers, Private Banks, Family Offices, and other distribution channels.
  • Support achievement of AUM and revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing investors.
  • Coordinate KYC, documentation, subscription forms, account opening, and other investment-related requirements.
  • Liaise with Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Fund Administration teams for seamless execution.
  • Track investor commitments, subscriptions, documentation, fund transfers, and settlement status.
  • Prepare regular fundraising and investor MIS for management review.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business development activities.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and client-focused professional to join our team as Assistant Manager – AIF Fundraising & Investor Relations.

The role will be responsible for supporting the origination, fundraising, distribution, investor onboarding, and relationship management activities for our Category II AIF. The candidate will work closely with senior team members to develop relationships with HNIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, IFAs, Wealth Managers, Corporates, Trusts, and other eligible investors.

The role offers an opportunity to work closely with the AIF investment and fundraising teams and gain comprehensive exposure to alternative investments, private markets, investor relations, and fund execution.

Key Responsibilities:

AIF Fundraising & Business Development:

– Generate and develop new investor leads for the Category II AIF.

– Identify prospective HNI/UHNI, Family Office, IFA, Wealth Manager, Corporate, Trust, and institutional investors.

– Build and maintain a strong fundraising pipeline.

– Assist senior team members in investor meetings, presentations, product discussions, and fundraising initiatives.

– Develop relationships with IFAs, MFDs, Wealth Managers, Private Banks, Family Offices, and other distribution channels.

– Support achievement of AUM and revenue targets.

Investor Relations & Client Management:

– Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing investors.

– Understand investor requirements and coordinate with the senior team for appropriate product positioning.

– Conduct regular follow-ups with prospects and existing clients.

– Assist in preparing and sharing fund presentations, factsheets, performance updates, and approved investor communications.

– Address routine investor queries and coordinate with internal teams for timely resolution.

– Support investor retention, repeat investments, and cross-selling opportunities.

Investment Execution & Onboarding:

– Support the complete investor onboarding process from initial interest to investment closure.

– Coordinate KYC, documentation, subscription forms, account opening, and other investment-related requirements.

– Liaise with Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Fund Administration teams for seamless execution.

– Track investor commitments, subscriptions, documentation, fund transfers, and settlement status.

– Ensure timely follow-up with investors and internal stakeholders.

Market & Product Knowledge:

– Develop a strong understanding of the AIF’s investment strategy, portfolio, investment thesis, risk profile, performance, and positioning.

– Keep abreast of market developments, AIF trends, competitor products, and investor preferences.

– Provide relevant market and investor feedback to the fundraising team.

– Assist in preparing research, presentations, and business development material.

MIS & Pipeline Management:

– Maintain an updated database of investors, prospects, intermediaries, and business opportunities.

– Track leads, meetings, follow-ups, conversions, commitments, subscriptions, and AUM.

– Prepare regular fundraising and investor MIS for management review.

– Ensure accurate and timely reporting of business development activities.

Internal Coordination:

– Work closely with the Investment, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and Fund Administration teams.

– Support senior team members in resolving investor and transaction-related issues.

– Ensure a seamless investor experience throughout the fundraising and onboarding process.

Key Performance Indicators:

– AUM mobilised / supported

– Number of qualified investor leads generated

– New investors onboarded

– Conversion of prospects into investors

– Revenue generated / supported

– Fundraising pipeline development

– New IFA / Wealth Manager / Family Office relationships

– Investor engagement and retention

– Timely completion of investor onboarding and execution

Candidate Profile:

– 2 – 6 years of experience in AIF, PMS, Asset Management, Private Wealth, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or related financial services.

– Prior experience in AIF fundraising, distribution, investor relations, private markets, or investment products will be preferred.

– Strong understanding of financial markets and investment products.

– Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-management skills.

– Ability to interact confidently with HNIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, IFAs, Wealth Managers, and institutional clients.

– Strong sales orientation with excellent follow-up and business development capabilities.

– Good analytical, organisational, and coordination skills.

– Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, CRM, and MIS reporting.

– High level of professionalism, integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.
