Job summary

Welmade Locking Systems Pvt Ltd in Pune district seeks an experienced engineer for supplier sourcing and quality assurance. You will lead supplier development, coordinate with PD/QA teams, and drive process improvements to meet delivery schedules.

The candidate should have 5-8 years of relevant experience and BE(Mech./Production) or diploma equivalents. Male candidates up to 32 years are preferred.

Qualifications

• BE(Mech./Production) or diploma equivalents (DME/NTTF/GTTC/CTTC) with 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Proven expertise in supplier development and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Sourcing and development: identify, tie up, negotiate and onboard suppliers.
• Supplier quality assurance: escalate quality issues and ensure on-time actions.
• Maintain supplier QMS and process audits as part of ongoing improvement.
• Resolve quality, delivery and risk issues via RCA analysis.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PD, QA, SBU) and communicate per calendar.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly MIS to management.
• Plan tooling, jigs and gauges sourcing and ensure timely product refresh.
• Plan processes for new products, including process capability and costing.
• Base cost optimization and supplier development for long-term partnerships.

Job description

• Supplier Sourcing and development [Identification, tie up, Negotiation, Policiesintroduction, Hand holding/ joint do etc.]
• Supplier quality assurance [Quality Issues escalation, On time actions & Supply]
• Supplier QMS [DOL, Basic Q system to be development, Process Audit, Assessmentaudits]
• Resolution of Quality, Delivery and Risk related Problems for long term throughproper RCA analysis
• Resolution of Tooling related issues through Gemba and RCA Approach
• Proper Coordination with CFT- PD, QA, SBU adhering to Calendar and timelycommunication
• To maintain and submit daily, Weekly, Monthly MIS to Management
• Press Tools, Jigs, Fixtures and gauges basic design, manufacturing throughoutsourcing on time Faster Product refresh through proper planning and execution
• Process planning for new products including process capability Process costing,Co-ordination with Supplier for Projects activities & Process hand-over.
• Zero Base costing Sourcing of new suppliers and developing them towards long termassociation

Competency (Candidate Profile)

• BE(Mech./Production)/DME/NTTF/GTTC/CTTC
• Minimum 5-8 years relevant experience
• Male candidate up to 32 years of age
• Proven Expertise in completing Projects while leading small Team of Engineers.
• Good light precision machining process knowledge Good problem-solving skillExcellent communication and coordination skills
