Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist in locating products.

• Process transactions for cash, card, UPI, and credit sales.
• Maintain cash drawer and reconcile daily collections.
• Monitor stock levels and conduct routine stock counts.
• Receive shipments, inspect items for damage, verify quantities against PO, and process GRNs.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO organization for perishables in a clean, safe warehouse.
• Update inventory ERP with daily inward, outward, and balance stock entries.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, QA, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming Shoppers: Greet customers warmly, assist them in locating products, and offer product recommendations.
• Grievance Handling: Listen to customer complaints or queries with empathy and resolve them professionally.
• Queue Management: Manage checkout line flow gracefully during peak hours to minimize wait times.
• POS Operation: Operate the Point of Sale (POS) terminal, barcode scanners, and billing software efficiently.
• Transaction Processing: Generate accurate cash, card, UPI, and credit bills for fast-moving items.
• Cash Handling: Maintain the cash drawer, reconcile daily collections, and prepare cash deposits accurately.
• Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, prevent overstocking or stockouts, and conduct routine physical stock counts.
• Goods Handling: Receive shipments, inspect items for damage, verify quantities against purchase orders, and process Good Receipt Notes (GRNs).
• Stock Organization: Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment using FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) methods for perishable goods.
• Documentation & ERP: Update inventory software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with daily inward, outward, and balance stock entries.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with the purchase, production, quality assurance, and dispatch teams to ensure smooth material flow.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree in any stream.
• Experience: 1 to 3 years of retail, cash handling, or store operations experience, preferably in an FMCG or grocery environment.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS software, basic Excel, or inventory tools like Tally.
