Job summary

Orkla India Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Stores and Warehouse Operations lead for its Ernakulam facility. You will manage end-to-end stores activities, ensure inventory accuracy, and lead teams to optimize stock, reduce obsolescence, and improve working capital. Strong SAP/ERP experience and FMCG background are essential.

The role emphasizes process excellence, safety compliance, and timely GRIR/transit inventory control in a large warehouse environment within the FMCG sector.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Stores & Warehouse Operations - Ensure efficient end-to-end management of stores and warehouse activities for seamless material availability and inventory control.
• Inventory Management - Drive inventory accuracy and stock optimization to support business continuity and working capital efficiency.
• Block Stock & SLOB Management - Reduce blocked, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory through proactive monitoring and corrective actions.
• GRIR & Transit Inventory Control - Ensure timely reconciliation of GRIR and transit inventory to improve financial and operational accuracy.
• Team Leadership - Lead and develop high-performing teams while fostering accountability, safety, and operational excellence.
• Compliance & Safety - Maintain adherence to statutory, audit, safety, and company compliance requirements across warehouse operations.
• Continuous Improvement - Drive process excellence through Lean initiatives, system enhancements, and KPI-based performance improvements.
• Inbound & Outbound TAT Management - Ensure all inbound, outbound, and dispatch activities are completed within defined turnaround times (TAT) and service-level agreements.
• MIS, Dashboard & Management Reporting - Develop and maintain operational dashboards, KPI reports, and management presentations using Excel, and PowerPoint for effective decision-making.
• Cost & Loss Optimization -Drive inventory carrying cost reduction, warehouse cost optimization, inventory loss control, and working capital improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 1015 years of experience in Stores, Warehouse, Inventory Management, and Cold Storage Operations.
• Experience in FMCG/Food Manufacturing industry is mandatory.
• Strong exposure to SAP/ERP systems
• Proven experience in managing large warehouse operations and inventory controls.
