Job summary

JFE Shoji Trade is seeking a proactive QA/Manufacturing Inspector to study customer specifications and drawings, perform in-process checks, and ensure products meet stringent standards. The role involves inspecting materials, removing defects, and generating inspection reports to verify compliance.

As part of the quality and production team, you will coordinate with QA, maintenance, and supply chain to resolve line stoppages, monitor machine uptime, and support continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Production or Industrial.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, lean tools, and reading blueprints or AutoCAD.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts and good communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Study & review of customer specification & drawings

2. In process checks & monitor operations to ensure they meet production/ customer Standards

3. Inspect/Measure materials/final products being produced

4. Remove all defective products and materials that fail to meet specification

5. Reviewing the requirements and making inspection report to ensure they are met.

6. Report problems or concerns to senior immediately

7. Inspect, test, or measure materials using gauges, callipers, and micrometres, to ensure that all necessary procedures and products are inspected to a high standard.

8. Making suggestions for changes and improvements and how to implement them.

9. Ensure the company is working as effectively as possible to keep up with competitors.

Matters pertaining to special assignments given by Superior/ Management timely.

• Shop Floor Operations: Assist line supervisors on the manufacturing floor to execute daily production schedules.


• Process Monitoring: Track machine uptime, cycle times, and output quality to reduce waste.


• Coordination: Work with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain teams to solve line stoppages.


• Safety Compliance: Ensure factory safety rules and 5S workplace standards are followed by workers

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Engineering degree in relevant branches (Mechanical, Production, Industrial).


• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, lean tools, and reading blueprints or AutoCAD.


• Soft Skills: Good communication, willingness to work in rotational shifts, and problem-solving attitude

1. Aware about ERP.

2. Must be fluent in Hindi or Marathi and at least be able to understand/write English.

3. Safety Rules and Regulation knowledge required.

Familiar with Measuring instruments, Computer literacy, 5S, ISO 9001-2015, Kaizen, problem solving QC technique.
