Role & responsibilities
Production & Manufacturing Operations
- Actively assist in day-to-day manufacturing and assembly operations across designated shop-floor areas.
- Thoroughly understand and strictly adhere to established production processes, sequence sheets, and detailed work instructions.
- Regularly track and monitor assigned production activities as directed by the production lead or shift supervisor.
- Provide continuous operational assistance to the plant team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output targets on schedule.
- Maintain balanced material workflow, operational discipline, and shop-floor orderliness to prevent downtime or production stalls.
- Swiftly identify, isolate, and elevate production-related problems or line bottlenecks to the concerned supervisor.
Process Monitoring & Operational Control
- Closely supervise manufacturing cycles, machine operations, and assembly steps to verify that every process runs in accordance with defined engineering standards.
- Develop a solid technical grasp of critical process parameters, operational thresholds, and foundational manufacturing specifications.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and floor leads to detect process deviations, machine bottlenecks, or cycle irregularities.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date documentation and production logs reflecting real-time process performance.
Quality Control & Continuous Improvement
- Uphold strict compliance with company quality standards, inspection criteria, and testing guidelines.
- Assist the quality assurance department in executing dimensional and visual checks on finished products, components, and assemblies against technical specifications.
- Promptly detect, isolate, and report any material defects, surface flaws, or component abnormalities to the responsible quality department.
- Ensure total alignment with internal quality protocols and corporate inspection standards.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen practices, and quality-enhancement projects to elevate product reliability and minimize scrap.
Machine, Equipment & Workstation Handling
- Acquire hands-on operational knowledge of specialized manufacturing machinery, automation systems, and plant equipment.
- Strictly adhere to prescribed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines during machine setup, handling, and operation.
- Promptly report mechanical breakdowns, irregular noises, unusual vibrations, and hazardous machine states to plant leadership.
- Coordinate proactively with the maintenance team during equipment servicing, changeovers, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure thorough housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness around machinery, tooling racks, and individual workstations.
Plant Safety Compliance & Workplace Standards
- Rigorously follow all factory safety rules, operational guidelines, and standard safety practices.
- Consistently wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as prescribed by the company across all production bays.
- Champion high shop-floor safety standards and actively help mitigate occupational hazards.
- Immediately document and elevate any unsafe acts, hazardous working conditions, or near‑miss incidents to the concerned supervisor.
- Comply fully with internal code of conduct policies, operational discipline rules, and workplace safety guidelines.
Documentation, Data Tracking & Operational Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive, error‑free operational records covering daily outputs, machine logs, and process parameters.
- Assist department supervisors and production engineers in preparing daily shift reports and executive production summaries.
- Formally record daily technical observations, downtime notes, and line issues, and present them clearly to senior management.
- Ensure all department‑specific documentation, audit sheets, and quality checklists are systematically archived.
- Support plant engineers in compiling operational shift data for review meetings and productivity assessments.
Cross-Functional Team Coordination & Operational Alignment
- Coordinate seamlessly with related internal departments, including Production, Quality Control, Maintenance, Stores/Logistics, and Tooling.
- Act as a dependable team player, working harmoniously with operators, technicians, and engineering staff.
- Execute technical directions, instructions, and feedback issued by senior production engineers and supervisors.
- Actively participate in daily shift handover huddles, operational briefings, and team meetings.
- Contribute to shared plant objectives, supporting the wider manufacturing team in achieving operational excellence and productivity milestones.
Preferred candidate profile
- Academic Qualifications:
- Must hold a completed, regular B.Tech / B.E. degree in any engineering branch from an accredited and recognized university or institute.
- Open across all engineering disciplines including Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Industrial, Instrumentation, and related domains.
- Experience Level & Target Profile:
- Fresh engineering graduates seeking their first industrial career opportunity in automobile manufacturing.
- Candidates with prior practical experience, such as relevant industrial training, polytechnic foundations, or engineering internships, are also eligible and encouraged to apply.
- Ambitious engineering graduates aiming to develop a hands‑on, long‑term technical career in automotive manufacturing operations, plant quality, and production engineering.
- Technical Aptitude & Fundamental Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of foundational engineering principles, production cycles, and general manufacturing practices.
- Fundamental awareness of industrial quality assurance parameters, plant safety standards, and manufacturing inspection processes.
- Basic computer literacy along with the analytical capability to read, comprehend, and implement detailed SOPs, technical drawings, and work instructions.

- High comfort level and full readiness to operate inside an active, fast‑paced automobile component manufacturing plant.
- Willingness to work rotational and extended shifts, including scheduled 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts based on production volumes and plant schedules.
- Physical capability and readiness to handle active shop‑floor duty, which involves walking, monitoring production lines, and standing during shift operations.
