Job summary

Jord International is seeking a Graduate Procurement Engineer in Vadodara to source and purchase project-specific goods per Procurement Guidelines. You will manage supplier performance across quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness while integrating technical knowledge with commercial acumen.

You will work directly with vendors to ensure on-time deliveries aligned with scope and collaborate with project teams to support procurement plans and documentation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering are essential with good academic results.
• Preferably 0 to 2 years of procurement experience in an EPC environment.
• Strong customer service skills with a commitment to solve problems and requests.
• Interest, knowledge and experience in operations and supply chain.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to adhere to specifications.
• Strong administrative skills with emphasis on accuracy.
• Strong priority setting skills and ability to follow standard processes.
• Ability to work and deliver under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager(s) in finalising Project Procurement Plans.
• Consolidation of RFQ documents and submission to selected suppliers on time.
• Establish and maintain effective local supplier relationships.
• Carry aggressive negotiations with suppliers to meet project objectives related to cost, delivery, performance and quality.
• Ensure commercial, legal and contractual compliances in all the procurement transactions.
• Execute negotiated contracts (place orders, ensure contractual terms are met and schedule renewals).
• Coordinate with project engineering on project specific on-time deliverables.
• Operate purchasing systems, assure data integrity and maintain documentation.
• Review and manage the supplier base to ensure alignment with sourcing strategy.
• Assist Project Manager in regular performance reviews with suppliers to drive improvements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure Purchase Order compliances until delivery completion.
• Manage independent projects, e.g. e-commerce, logistics as required by the company.
• Support the Commercial Manager with office-based administrative tasks.

The Graduate Procurement Engineer shall be required for sourcing and purchasing project specific goods and services in accordance with Company’s Procurement Guidelines. The selected candidate shall be responsible for managing supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery and responsiveness. Detailed oriented and driven, the successful candidate shall be required to integrate their technical knowledge with commercial and contractual acumen.

This role requires working directly with vendors to ensure deliveries are made accurately in line with the scope and on-time as well as working closely with the project team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Project Manager(s) in finalising Project Procurement Plans.
