Job summary

Silox India Pvt Ltd is seeking a procurement support role in a chemical manufacturing environment. Fresher or 1 year of internship experience preferred, with basic procurement knowledge and familiarity with ERP systems.

You will assist in sourcing engineering and utility materials, coordinate with vendors, and support documentation and audits. You will work with Engineering, Maintenance, and QA teams to understand specs, monitor market trends, and help optimize costs.

Qualifications

• Fresher or up to 1 year internship in procurement or engineering support roles.
• Basic understanding of procurement processes.
• Knowledge of engineering materials and specifications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement of engineering and utility-related materials and services to ensure timely availability for uninterrupted plant operations.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and documentation.
• Learn and support vendor evaluation and development processes to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Learn and maintain procurement records and assist in audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Maintenance, QA) to understand technical specifications and procurement needs.
• Understand and monitor market trends and pricing to support cost optimization and strategic sourcing.
• Understanding technical specifications in a dynamic chemical manufacturing setup
