Job summary

THERMAX in Pune seeks a procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing of mechanical bought-out items, instrumentation, and fabricated materials for ongoing projects. The role emphasizes on-time availability, techno-commercial evaluation of vendor offers, and close collaboration with Finance, Projects, QAC, Logistics and Engineering.

You will conduct zero-based costing, negotiate terms, track orders, ensure delivery, maintain documentation for POs, and support bid management aligned to

• Procurement experience in manufacturing/fabrication/machining.

Responsibilities

• Procure all items required for the project and ensure on-time availability.
• Conduct techno-commercial review of vendor offers and finalize orders.
• Collaborate with Finance, Projects, QAC, Logistics to ensure uninterrupted material supply.
• Visit vendors regularly for critical items.
• Procurement of mechanical bought-outs, instrumentation items and fabricated items.
• Procure materials per ITP/Code/Specifications/Drawing/Vendor list.
• Do zero-based costing and techno-commercial negotiation with suppliers.
• Track order progress and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Proposals, Projects, QAC, Logistics, Commercial & Finance.
• Coordinate with Commercial for dispatch documentation.
• Maintain PO documentation such as quotations and negotiation statements.
• Price comparison and cost sheet preparation.
• Prepare and submit bank guarantees.
• Monitor bid management to align with organizational requirements.
• Contribute in cost and price calculations.
• Adhere to Procure-to-Pay processes and order schedules.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

1. Procurement of all items required for the project requirement and ensuring on-time availability of mechanical bought-out items & indented items for ongoing projects.
2. Techno-Commercial review of offers received from vendors , negotiate all commercial terms and finalize order for the competent vendor.
3. Collaborating with Finance, Projects, QAC and Logistics departments.
   Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials.
4. Regular Vendor visits for follow up for critical items
5. Procurement of Mechanical bought-outs, Instrumentation items and Fabricated
6. Material procurement as per applicable ITP / Code / Specifications / Drawing / Vendor list.
7. Doing Zero based Costing & Techno-commercial negotiation with supplier.
8. Tracking progress of orders and ensuring timely delivery of various procurement items.
9. Collaborating with Engineering, Proposals, Projects, QAC, Logistics, Commercial & Finance departments.
10. Coordination with commercial for required documentation for effecting dispatches.
11. Maintaining proper documentation for each PO like received quotations, comparative statements, negotiation done etc.
12. Price Comparison and Cost Sheet Preparation.
13. Preparation and submission of different types Bank Guarantees.
14. Monitoring of the bid management in order to ensure it is aligned with the organization's requirements.
15. Contribution in cost and price calculations.
16. Strict Adherence to Procure to Pay Process & Order schedules.
