About the Company
A global healthcare organization with a strong presence in regulated pharmaceutical markets, focused on building differentiated product portfolios through strategic partnerships, complex generics, and specialty-led development.
The Opportunity
This role will lead new product strategy, business development, and NPD execution for regulated international markets, with a focus on Europe. The position requires end-to-end ownership from opportunity identification and deal execution through development oversight and launch readiness.
The role calls for a commercially sharp and strategically strong leader with experience in regulated markets, capable of driving portfolio expansion through in-licensing, co-development, and internal development, while working closely with cross-functional global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- New Product Strategy & Portfolio Selection: Own product strategy for regulated markets, including identification, evaluation, and prioritisation of new product opportunities. Drive market-backward product selection based on unmet need, competitive landscape, pricing, and regulatory feasibility. Develop business cases for pipeline investments and continuously refine portfolio strategy.
- Business Development (In-licensing / Out-licensing / Partnerships): Lead in-licensing, out-licensing, co-development, and distribution opportunities across regulated markets. Originate and evaluate opportunities, structure commercial terms, lead negotiations, and manage partner relationships to ensure long-term value creation.
- NPD Leadership & Project Management: Provide oversight of new product development programs aligned to international market requirements. Drive cross-functional coordination with R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure timelines, milestones, and launch readiness are met.
- Deal Structuring & Commercial Evaluation: Build financial models, evaluate commercial viability, and define pricing, supply, milestone, and risk-sharing structures for new opportunities. Support investment decisions through strong analytical and strategic inputs.
- Stakeholder & Strategic Leadership: Act as the single-point owner for international NPD and business development initiatives. Present strategy, pipeline updates, and investment proposals to senior leadership and represent the organization in discussions with global partners, customers, and advisors.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, technical, regulatory, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment between portfolio strategy and execution.
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor team members supporting NPD, portfolio, and business development activities, ensuring high-quality execution and strategic focus.
