• Bachelor of Architecture
• Masters, Architecture is a plus

Experience: Total: 16 to 18 years

• 3 to 5 years (inclusive of 3 years working with licensed architect)
• 10 years of experience with residential design and production in a leadership role managing others.
• Experience must include working on staff for a residential builder, ideally 5+ years working for a large construction builder.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Management

• Support business goals by managing teams and monitoring weekly workloads considering focus on quality and on-time delivery.
• Act as unified liaison between in-house architecture and corporate team leaders.
• Continually improve and maintain continuity of communication and documentation in Design teams.
• Manage outside vendors as required.
• Develop and maintain excellent partnerships across the Projects Team.

Functional Strategy

• Oversee the production of architectural drawings for all divisions and ensure on-time delivery to the divisions.
• Manage group to provide on time delivery of review drawing.
• Determine and execute on best solutions for construction issues that relate to architectural and builder services needs.
• Coordinate and delegate frame walk schedules and attend frame walks as required and prepare frame walk notes.

Design

• Utilize company-performed market research surveys to guide and dictate in design plans.
• Actively lead and support architecture staff in the development of plans, starting with the market surveys through the DRB (Design Review Board) Package.
