Updater Services (UDS) is seeking an experienced Technical Operations Leader to oversee engineering and facility operations across mission-critical environments, including airports, manufacturing plants, and 24/7 facilities.

You will drive MEP operations, CMMS implementation, preventive maintenance, safety and compliance, and energy optimization while leading a skilled team and ensuring KPI targets are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1215 years of experience in facility management, with proven leadership in technical operations.
  • Experience managing engineering services in critical infrastructure (e.g., airports, data centres, manufacturing).
  • Expertise in CMMS platforms (e.g., IBM Maximo, Infor EAM, SAP PM) and digital maintenance tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end technical services including HVAC, fire systems, BMS, STP/ETP, elevators, and energy systems.
  • Oversee engineering operations at mission-critical facilities including airports, manufacturing plants, and 24/7 environments.
  • Ensure adherence to operational KPIs like uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and SLA compliance.
  • Drive preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
  • Lead CMMS deployment and digital reporting; integrate IoT and analytics into maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize equipment failure and downtime.
  • Conduct safety audits and ensure regulatory compliance; train site teams.
  • Transform technical operations into a high-performing, self-sustaining business unit.

Job Summary;

We are looking for an experienced Technical Operations Leader to manage engineering and facility operations across critical environments. The role involves MEP operations, CMMS implementation, preventive maintenance, safety & compliance, downtime reduction, energy optimization, commercial performance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate should have 1215 years of relevant experience with strong expertise in technical operations and facility management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Operations & Engineering Services
  • Lead and manage end-to-end technical services including, HVAC, fire systems, BMS, STP/ETP, elevators, and energy systems.
  • Oversee engineering operations at mission-critical facilities including airports, manufacturing plants, and 24/7 environments.
  • Ensure adherence to operational KPIs like uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and SLA compliance.
  • Drive preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.
2. CMMS Implementation & Digital Transformation
  • Lead the planning, deployment, and optimization of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) across customer sites.
  • Integrate IoT, remote monitoring, and analytics into maintenance and energy management practices.
  • Standardize technical reporting and asset tracking through digital tools.
3. Downtime Reduction & Reliability Engineering
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize equipment failure and reduce operational downtime.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring failures and initiate continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement best practices in asset lifecycle management and reliability-centered maintenance.
4. Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a strong safety culture and ensure 100% compliance with local statutory regulations, fire safety norms, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and engineering compliance reviews.
  • Train and certify site engineering teams on electrical, mechanical, and safety protocols.
5. Commercial Ownership & Profitability
  • Transform technical operations into a high-performing, self-sustaining business unit.
  • Manage budgets, drive cost efficiencies, and contribute to revenue growth through value-added services and energy optimization projects.
  • Lead technical proposals for new business opportunities and support solution design during bidding.
  • Meet specific targets assigned for the vertical of Technical Operations.
6. Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and lead the technical team/engineering services vertical.
  • Drive technical training, succession planning, and capability development.
  • Create a culture of performance, innovation, and engineering excellence.
