Job summary

Zalaris is seeking a payroll operations professional to support multiple EU/EMEA countries from our Chennai office. You will manage employee data, process payroll inputs, and generate reports ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in payroll operations across multiple EMEA/EU countries.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Payroll (HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors.
• Excellent English communication and stakeholder management; other EU languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Register and maintain employee data (new hires, changes, terminations, tax, pension).
• Maintain organizational structure and absence/attendance records.
• Input payroll data (deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries) and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and deliver payroll reports and respond to service requests via C4C/system and phone.
• Produce contracts and employment documents; maintain archives.
• Troubleshoot issues and act as case manager for complex multi-functional problems.
• Train and guide team members and support additional tasks as needed.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Registration and maintenance of employee data (e.g., new hires, changes, terminations, tax information, pension control)
• Maintenance of organizational structure
• Absence /attendance registration and handling
• Registration of payroll data input (e.g., deductions, benefits, bonuses, new salaries)
• Preparation and delivery of reports
• Handling service requests through C4C system and inquiries by phone
• Producing the contracts and other employment related documentation Maintaining physical and / or electronical archive
• To solve problems and be a case manager for complex multi-functional issues.
• Train and guide other team members.
• Performing any additional tasks, linked to the primary scope of the position.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in payroll operations, with significant exposure to multiple EMEA and EU countries.
• Hands-on, in-depth experience with SAP Payroll (SAP HCM) and SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central / Employee Central Payroll).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; fluent in English (additional EU languages an advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related reporting tools.
