Job summary

Dürr Group Services in India is seeking an experienced Operational Buyer to support purchasing of components for HOMAG plants located in Poland and Germany. You will manage demand requests, adjust delivery schedules, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure material availability for production.

The role requires strong English and German language skills (B2+), SAP experience, and at least 3 years in global purchasing or logistics.

Qualifications

• University degree: Economics or Logistics.
• Minimum 3 years in purchasing, economics or logistics, with global assignments experience.
• Strong communication in English and German (B2+).
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Processing demand requests and exception messages.
• Change delivery schedules based on supplier dates and stock levels.
• Check order confirmations and monitor material flow until delivery.
• Communicate actively with suppliers and prepare/send orders, schedules, forecasts, and framework agreements.
• Support claims process and prepare supplier evaluations.
• Coordinate documentation to suppliers.

B2 Level German language understanding is a mandatory requirement for the position.

DESCRIPTION OF TEAM:

DGSMM Operational Purchasing Team is responsible for Purchasing of the components based on the requestions created by the Production Planers for all HOMAG plants located in Poland and Germany. The Operational Buyers work in a dynamic environment, must react to the critical situations, lacks of material to ensure smooth production process. Team follows up on delivery dates changes, production rescheduling, supports the claim process, construction changes of the materials, management of the frame contracts, clarification of the Invoices Discrepancies. Operational Buyers cooperate closely within other Departments in Homag as well as Suppliers.

Tasks:

• Processing of demand requests, exception messages;
• Changing delivery schedules in case of changes in dates from suppliers, taking into account stock levels;
• Checking order confirmations for quantity, date; delivery reminders, monitoring material flow until physical delivery;
• Active cooperation and communication with suppliers;
• Preparing and sending orders (automated where possible), delivery schedules, forecasts, framework agreements;
• Supporting the claims process;
• Preparation of supplier evaluations;
• Sending necessary documentation to the supplier

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills in English and German (B2 & above) is a must.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in purchasing, economics, or logistic area, with at least 3 years working experience in Global assignments
• Experience with SAP is a must.
• University degree: Economics or Logistics
• Knowledge of English on a level min. B2
• Knowledge of written and spoken German on a level min. B2
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, SAP ERP and Procurement processes required
