Educational Qualification & Experience

B.E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical) with 3 – 7 years of experience

Key Deliverables

• Design and develop medium‑voltage switchgear.
• Provide technical expertise in product performance and reliability.
• Conduct type tests per IEC standards at accredited third‑party labs such as CPRI, ERDA, CESI.
• Perform in‑house verification and validation of medium‑voltage equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful V&V activities.
• Follow the V&V program to release new packages/products to production on schedule.

Functional Competencies

• Develop and implement V&V plans, test strategies, cases, and acceptance criteria for MV switchgear up to 36 kV.
• Design and execute diverse tests: type (short‑circuit, lightning impulse, power‑frequency, temperature rise, mechanical endurance, IP rating), routine (dielectric, resistance, mechanical operation), functional (operational performance, interlocking, protection systems), and environmental (temperature cycling, humidity, vibration).
• Select, configure, and maintain test equipment and instrumentation, ensuring proper calibration.
• Collect, record, and analyse test data; prepare comprehensive test reports documenting setup, procedures, results, and deviations.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with design and production teams to implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all V&V activities comply with national and international standards (e.g., IEC 62271 series) and customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate and traceable records of all V&V activities, including plans, procedures, reports, and defect tracking.
• Work closely with design engineers, production engineers, quality assurance, and sales/marketing teams to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of V&V processes and methodologies.
