Core Energy Systems is seeking a DGM / General Manager Project Operations (Infrastructure) at HO Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai to provide strategic and operational leadership for the end-to-end execution of large-scale Electrical and Infrastructure EPC projects.

You will oversee multi-project delivery, ensuring schedule adherence, cost control and profitability across Power T&D, Metro/Railway, Renewable Energy and other infra initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 1520 years of overall experience in Infrastructure / EPC project execution.
  • Strong experience in Power Transmission & Distribution projects.
  • Proven exposure to Metro / Railway infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in Renewable Energy, Solar, Water & Wastewater and BESS projects will be an added advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple large-scale, high-value EPC projects.
  • Experience in an HO-based Project Operations leadership role is preferred.
  • Candidates should have strong experience in managing large project teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution and delivery of large-scale Infrastructure EPC / Turnkey / LSTK projects.
  • Provide strategic leadership for multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring achievement of project objectives.
  • Oversee project planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning and final handover.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual scope, approved schedules, budgets, quality standards and profitability targets.
  • Lead execution of Power T&D projects, including substations, transmission lines and distribution networks.
  • Provide operational leadership for Metro/Railway infrastructure projects, coordinating with clients, consultants, JV partners and statutory authorities.
  • Lead Project Managers, Construction, Planning, QA/QC, HSE, Commercial and other project functions.
  • Drive manpower planning, resource allocation, equipment deployment and subcontractor management.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, cost, margins, cash flow, billing and collections.
  • Review project performance through periodic MIS, dashboards and management review meetings.
  • Identify project risks, bottlenecks and deviations and implement appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support contract administration, variation orders, claims, commercial negotiations and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, statutory approvals, HSE norms, quality systems and applicable industry standards.
  • Act as the senior management interface with key clients, consultants, government authorities, JV partners and other stakeholders.
  • Lead project review meetings, progress presentations and critical issue/escalation management.
  • Drive client satisfaction, successful project completion and opportunities for repeat business.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites and ensure zero-tolerance towards major HSE violations.
  • Ensure effective implementation of QA/QC systems, audits, inspections and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide regular project performance reports and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Support pre-bid reviews, technical evaluation, project feasibility, execution strategy and resource planning.
  • Drive operational excellence, standardisation, process improvement and lessons-learned initiatives.

Role Purpose

The DGM / General Manager Project Operations will provide strategic and operational leadership for the end-to-end execution of large-scale Electrical and Infrastructure EPC projects, with strong exposure to Power Transmission & Distribution, Metro/Railways, Renewable Energy and other infrastructure projects.


The role will be responsible for ensuring project delivery, schedule adherence, cost control, quality, safety, contractual compliance and profitability, while leading multiple project teams and driving operational excellence.
