Job summary

Rathi Hydro Projects is seeking a seasoned General Manager Technical to lead technical functions across hydro power and civil projects. You will oversee planning, engineering coordination, design reviews, and site quality, ensuring adherence to drawings, specs, and IS/IRC standards.

The role requires directing project teams, reviewing technical submissions, and coordinating with consultants, clients, and site teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure, hydro, or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and engineering practices.
• Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, BOQ, and technical documentation.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate with various departments.
• Strong communication and client/consultant coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel and visit project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Review technical aspects of tenders, bids, and new project proposals.
• Assist in technical offers, methodologies, project schedules, and cost estimates.
• Ensure compliance with IS Codes, IRC/MORTH standards, and project specs.
• Monitor quality standards and coordinate with QA/QC teams.
• Conduct technical audits and site inspections as required.
• Evaluate construction methodologies and propose improvements in productivity, safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with equipment and machinery teams regarding technical requirements.
• Review project progress and provide technical inputs to senior management.
• Maintain technical documentation, drawings, revisions, approvals, and site instructions.
• Provide technical support during client/consultant meetings and project reviews.
• Mentor and develop the technical team.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong General Manager Technical to lead and oversee technical functions across our hydro power and civil infrastructure projects.
