Qualifications

Job Profile

We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented General Manager – Projects to lead and supervise multiple high‑rise residential and commercial projects from the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) side.

The candidate will be responsible for simultaneously managing 4–5 projects, ensuring timely completion, required quality standards, effective coordination, cost control, safety compliance, systematic reporting, snag rectification and successful project handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, monitor and supervise 4–5 high‑rise residential and commercial projects simultaneously.
• Manage the complete project lifecycle—from planning and construction through testing, commissioning, snag rectification and final handover.
• Prepare and review master construction schedules, monthly and weekly targets, look‑ahead programmes and recovery plans.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules and identify delays, constraints and critical activities.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, contracts, method statements and applicable codes.
• Review the quality of RCC, masonry, waterproofing, plastering, flooring, faade, aluminium, joinery and finishing works.
• Possess strong practical experience in Aluminium Formwork/Aluform construction, including cycle planning, line and level control, reinforcement checks, MEP provisions, dimensional accuracy, de‑shuttering and defect prevention.
• Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP drawings and identify clashes, discrepancies and constructability issues before execution.
• Monitor electrical, plumbing, firefighting, HVAC, ELV, lifts and other building‑service installations in coordination with specialist consultants.
• Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits and progress‑review meetings.
• Identify construction defects and workmanship issues, undertake root‑cause analysis and recommend practical corrective and preventive measures.
• Review contractor method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, inspection requests and work procedures.
• Monitor contractor manpower, resources, materials, machinery and productivity.
• Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly progress reports, MIS dashboards, quality reports, delay analysis and management presentations.
• Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, vendors and statutory authorities.
• Lead project teams, allocate responsibilities and monitor the performance of site engineers and other technical personnel.
• Manage snagging, de‑snagging, testing and commissioning, documentation, as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, and project close‑out.
• Ensure smooth handover of apartments, common areas and building services to the client, occupants or facility‑management team.
• Support commercial and contractual monitoring, including quantity verification, variation identification and contractor‑bill recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with site safety requirements and promote a strong quality and safety culture across all projects.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of project planning, execution, monitoring and control from the PMC side.
• Proven experience in high‑rise residential and/or commercial building projects.
• Hands‑on knowledge of RCC construction, Aluform, MEP coordination, finishing works and project handover.
• Excellent fault‑finding, troubleshooting, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple project teams and priorities.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs and applicable codes.
• Proficiency in MS Project or Primavera, MS Excel, PowerPoint and professional report preparation.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination and negotiation skills.
• Ability to conduct meetings and communicate clearly with senior client representatives, contractors and consultants.
• Willingness to travel frequently between project sites.

Preferred candidate profile

B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering with 12–17 years of relevant experience; Diploma holders with strong high‑rise project experience may also apply.

• At least 5 years of experience in a senior project‑management or leadership position.
• Previous experience with a reputed PMC, developer or high‑rise construction organisation is preferred.
• Candidates with demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and successful project handovers will be given preference.
