Job summary

Trehan IRIS is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee end-to-end construction projects in Gurugram. You will lead a diverse team of project managers, engineers, safety and quality officers, coordinating with design, procurement, marketing and sales to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role requires deep expertise in design, construction, and MEP, with strong leadership, negotiation, and risk management skills to deliver high-quality, compliant outcomes across large-scale

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management (NICMAR or equivalent) is highly preferred
• At least 15 years of experience in project management within the real estate and construction industry
• Extensive experience overseeing large-scale projects from pre-construction to handover
• Experience in budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with stakeholders
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Technical expertise in design, construction, and MEP management
• Expertise in contract strategy development and contractor/vendor management
• Strong financial acumen with cost control, billing, and forecasting

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage all resources and site activities to achieve economical completion on time and within cost
• Oversee project from concept to completion with design, construction and delivery planned by project managers
• Monitor budgets, schedules and resources for allocated projects

Job description

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of the project, from conceptualization to completion. This role ensures that the undergoing project is executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines. The position is responsible for leading and managing a team of project managers, contractors and vendors, coordinating with all stakeholders, and ensuring safe & smooth project operations.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for organizing & managing all resources and site activities to achieve an efficient and economic completion of the project, within the agreed time and cost, whilst playing due regard to safety and meeting quality requirements
• Oversee allocated project from the concept phase to completion, ensuring all design, construction, and delivery are well-planned and executed by respective project managers effectively.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively for the allocated project
• Develop comprehensive project schedules alongside Project managers for the ongoing residential development, ensuring project is completed on time.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Review and approve project plans, drawings, and technical documents.
• Analyze project profitability and make necessary adjustments to ensure financial viability.
• Track project expenditures to identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
• Implement and ensure robust safety protocols being followed on construction site.
• Act as the primary liaison between the design team and site operations to ensure proper implementation of GFC (Good for construction) drawings and resolve any issues related to design discrepancies or schedule delays.
• Ensure smooth coordination between various central teams such as design, procurement, construction, marketing, and sales to ensure all aspects of a project are aligned.
• Set clear work objectives for project team members, ensure balanced work allocation, and monitor task completion and quality.
• Lead and motivate a team of project managers, engineers, safety & quality officers for allocated projects

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management (NICMAR or equivalent) is highly preferred.
• At least 15 years of experience in project management within the real estate and construction industry, with a proven track record of managing high-value projects.
• Extensive experience in overseeing large-scale projects, including all phases of execution, from pre-construction to handover.
• Extensive experience in real estate project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

• Strong technical expertise in managing all aspects of design, construction, and MEP, with the ability to foresee and mitigate risks associated with these domains.
• Expertise in contract strategy development and contractor/vendor management to ensure the optimum structure and timely award of contracts.
• Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage cost control, billing, and forecasting for large-scale projects.
• Knowledge of all technical services and structural engineering deployed on site and how to manage them effectively to meet project goals.
• Deep understanding of quality control procedures, implementing a culture that prioritizes quality, safety, and compliance on site.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and manage diverse teams.
