Finance & Financial Management
- Oversee the overall financial management of the group and ensure financial discipline across businesses.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
- Analyse financial performance, costs, profitability and key variances.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO and management.
- Identify financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support management in evaluating business decisions from a financial perspective.
Accounts & Financial Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly and annual accounts.
- Review financial statements, management reports and key financial schedules.
- Establish appropriate financial controls and ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal processes.
- Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors as required.
Taxation & Compliance
- Oversee direct and indirect taxation matters and ensure timely statutory compliance.
- Coordinate with external tax consultants and advisors where required.
- Ensure appropriate tax planning and compliance across the group.
- Monitor changes in applicable tax regulations and assess their business impact.
Treasury & Cash Flow Management
- Monitor group cash flows, liquidity and working capital requirements.
- Ensure effective management of receivables, payables and cash positions.
- Manage banking relationships and coordinate with financial institutions.
- Support the CEO/ Management in cash-flow planning and financing-related decisions.
MIS & Management Reporting
- Develop and maintain accurate and timely MIS for management.
- Prepare regular financial dashboards and reports highlighting key business and financial metrics.
- Analyse trends, variances and exceptions and highlight areas requiring management attention.
- Ensure management has clear and actionable financial information for decision-making.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and guide the finance and accounts team to ensure effective execution of the function.
- Coordinate effectively with internal teams, auditors, consultants, banks and other external stakeholders.
- Establish clear processes, accountability and timelines within the finance function.
Candidate Profile
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in finance and accounts, preferably in a senior managerial role.
- CA qualification with first-attempt clearance.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, treasury, financial reporting and MIS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good understanding of financial controls, budgeting and cash-flow management.
- Ability to interpret financial data and translate it into meaningful business insights.
- Strong attention to detail with a practical and commercially oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting/MIS tools.
- Experience working with ERP/accounting systems.
