Job summary

Accor is seeking a General Cashier in Bengaluru to manage daily remittances, ensure cash availability, and support banking activities. The role requires accuracy in cash handling and reporting, with strong English communication.

Diploma in Accounting/Finance and at least 1 year of relevant experience are preferred. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems is expected for daily operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar cashier role.
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiarity with accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect and check daily remittances in the presence of a witness.
• Ensure sufficient cash/change for all cashiers.
• Update exchange rates and make bank deposits as required.
• Prepare the General Cashier Daily Report.
• Balance cash fund daily and maintain records of over/short.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

General Cashier

• Collect and check daily remittances in the presence of a witness
• Ensure sufficient change for all cashiers
• Update foreign exchange rate and make bank deposits as and when required
• Prepare General Cashier Daily Report
• Reimburse Front Office cashiers for disbursement made
• Make petty cash payments on designated days
• Balance cash fund daily
• Conduct surprise float count on all cashier holding floats, including non-operation ‘cashiers’ like People & Culture and Security
• Maintain over and short records for each cashier and report evidence of review to Financial Controller
• Update all cashiers float record on a monthly basis
• Keep track of casual labour, valet dockets, official receipt book and movement records

Qualifications

• Diploma in Accounting / Finance
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity
• Good reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and relevant accounting systems
