Job summary

Prithvi Inner Wears Private Limited in Tamil Nadu is seeking a Cutter Operator to join the Production team in the CUTTING zone. You will operate the fusing machine and ensure correct temperature, pressure, and timing to produce fused panels.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, works on permanent basis, and collaborates with Cutting, Quality, and Sewing departments while maintaining safety and housekeeping.

Qualifications

• Operate the fusing machine safely as per standard operating procedures.
• Check fabric and interlining before starting the fusing process.
• Ensure correct temperature, pressure, and fusing time as per the approved standard.
• Maintain proper alignment of fabric and interlining.
• Check fused panels for peeling, bubbles, wrinkles, shrinkage, marks, and improper bonding.

Responsibilities

• Operate the fusing machine safely as per standard operating procedures.
• Check fabric and interlining before starting the fusing process.
• Ensure correct temperature, pressure, and fusing time as per the approved standard.
• Maintain proper alignment of fabric and interlining.
• Check fused panels for peeling, bubbles, wrinkles, shrinkage, marks, and improper bonding.
• Separate defective fused components and inform the supervisor.
• Maintain the required production target and output.
• Avoid fabric and interlining wastage during the process.
• Carry out basic cleaning of the fusing machine and work area.
• Inform the Maintenance Team about machine breakdowns or abnormalities.
• Follow approved samples, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping at the workstation.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Maintain fusing-related production and quality records when required.
• Coordinate with Cutting, Quality, and Sewing departments for smooth production.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
